]]>Variety broke the news of the AMAs’ possible sabbatical after the BMAs moved to their date on November 19, 2023. This November date has been traditionally reserved for the AMAs for about two decades now, but they’re now facing the possibility of moving to the May slot previously held by Billboard.
The AMAs’ parent company Dick Clark Productions just happens to be owned by Penske Media Corp—Billboard’s parent company—leading to a conflict of interest caused by the change of dates. It also didn’t help AMAs’ case that viewership has been steadily declining in recent years, and the word on the street is that the show was becoming stale, leading PMC to focus on BMAs instead.
Despite scheduling conflicts, a PMC spokeswoman claims that the hiatus is not official just yet, saying they have offers for both shows from networks and streamers.
The American Music Awards have been around since 1973, and the latest ceremony took place in November last year, when Taylor Swift won six awards to extend her record as the most-awarded artist in AMA history, with 40 wins overall.

]]>Ciara will be joining the ranks of fellow superstars Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez, who hosted this award show in the past, but she’s no stranger to this duty. The Grammy-winning singer previously hosted the Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris in 2016.
We can’t wait to see her on stage when American Music Awards air live on ABC on November 24th, straight from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The list of the artists in the running for major awards at this ceremony includes Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish.
No award ceremony is complete without amazing musical performances, and the AMA’s has a couple up their sleeve. Taylor Swift and Shania Twain are expected to perform their biggest hits, but the lineup also includes Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and many more.

]]>Twain will take the stage on November 24th, when this ceremony takes place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast live on ABC, and the Queen of Country Pop is only one of several amazing artists scheduled to perform.
Taylor Swift is also expected to deliver a medley of her biggest hits as she’s receiving the Artist of the Decade award this year. The list of performers also includes Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and Thomas Rhett.
The performance at the American Music Awards isn’t the only amazing show that Shania Twain has in store for her fans right now. Her new Las Vegas residency Shania: Let’s Go! is kicking off on December 6th, and she’s expected to stay in Sin City for two years.

]]>Gomez is a perfect fit for this ceremony since she created a lot of buzz with her new tracks, and her fans can’t wait to hear them live. This isn’t the only reason why there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding her set – it will also be her first televised performance in two years.
This announcement comes shortly after the AMAs bosses decided to give Taylor Swift the Artist of the Decade award. She’s set to perform a medley of her greatest hits during the ceremony. The rest of the performers are yet to be announced.
The American Music Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24th. Post Malone is leading the list of nominees with seven nods, and he’s closely followed by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish who scored six each.

]]>Swift will add this trophy to the 24 awards she won at this ceremony in the past, setting an all-time record. As if that wasn’t enough, she could win several more at this year’s AMAs, since she’s in the running for six different awards, including artist of the year.
Taylor Swift delivered a series of epic performances at this even in the past, and she’s returning to give another one this year. Not much is known about it at the moment, but the producers behind this ceremony are promising an epic, career-spanning performance unlike any other.
This year’s American Music Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24th. Post Malone topped the list of nominations with seven nods, but Swift, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish were right behind with six.
