]]>Linkin Park’s new album From Zero is the buzziest new release since it marks the band’s first studio effort without the late frontman Chester Bennington. Emily Armstrong took over as vocalist earlier this year, and appeared on several singles ahead of the album’s release, with “Two Faced” serving as the fourth.
Linkin Park’s From Zero isn’t the only new album to create a lot of buzz this week. Shawn Mendes made the cut with “The Mountain” from Shawn, Jon Batiste impressed us with “Dusklight Movement” from Beethoven Blues, while Rauw Alejandro joined forces with Bad Bunny for “Qué Pasaría” from his new album Cosa Nuestra.
This isn’t the only epic collaboration to make it to our list this week. Elton John and Brandi Carlile proved to the world they’re a match made in heaven with “Never Too Late”, Jessie Reyez and Ari Lennox gave us some girl power with “Just Like That”, while Odeal and Summer Walker dropped their latest collaboration “You’re Stuck”.
Check out the rest of our list to discover new music by the likes of Shaboozey, Paris Paloma, and Jack White.

]]>This Friday marked the release of several great albums, and The Cure’s Songs of a Lost World is the best of them all. It produced two singles between hitting the shelves, but the remaining six songs are equally amazing, and we’re singling out “All I Ever Am” as an early favorite.
Tyler, the Creator made an unconventional decision and dropped his new album Chromakopia on Monday, instead of waiting until Friday. He made a splash with several songs from this record, including “Darling, I” ft. Teezo Touchdown.
When it comes to new singles released this week, none created more than The Weeknd’s latest. He tapped Anitta to appear in the eerie music video for “São Paulo”, the third single from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.
The rest of our list of the best songs of the week includes something for everyone, so check it out to discover new music by Shawn Mendes, Ethel Cain, LCD Soundsystem, Snoop Dogg, and many more.

]]>Mendes teased the release of his fifth studio album Shawn on social media and revealed it will hit the shelves on October 18 via Island Records. He’ll celebrate his birthday by dropping two singles on August 8, “Why Why Why” and “Isn’t That Enough”.
This announcement comes two years after the singer canceled a massive world tour and paused his music career to focus on his mental health. He thanked everyone who supported him during this time, from his friends and family to his adoring fans.
“Music really can be medicine. 2 years ago I felt like I had absolutely no idea who I was. A year ago I couldn’t step into a studio without falling into complete panic. So to be here right now with 12 beautiful finished songs feels like such a gift,” wrote Mendes on social media.
Shawn marks the singer’s first studio album since Wonder in 2020, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced singles “Wonder”, “Monster” ft. Justin Bieber, and “Call My Friends”.

]]>This week has been pretty slow in terms of new releases because most of our favorite stars took a break to celebrate Thanksgiving with their loved ones. That didn’t stop our favorite artists outside of the United States from dropping new music and giving us some amazing new songs in the process.
This has been an amazing week for female collaborations, and two of the best songs from our list fall under that category. Kali Uchis and Karol G knocked it out of the park with their new collaboration “Labios Mordidos”, while Björk and Rosalía seamlessly blended their unique artistic styles on their new duet “Oral”.
Speaking of great collaborations to make it to our list, Jacob Collier’s new song “Witness Me” is also worth listening to and features contributions from Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, and Kirk Franklin.
It’s also been a great week for alternative artists, with Winona Oak, The Japanese House, and Sam Fischer managing to beat tough competition and make it to our list of the best new songs of the week.

]]>This week marked the arrival of two of the most anticipated albums to hit the shelves this month: Janelle Monáe’s The Age of Pleasure and Niall Horan’s The Show. Both albums gave us a bunch of amazing new songs and ended up making it to our list.
This week has been pretty amazing for Latin music, and we’ve seen several of our favorite artists surprise us with new songs. Maluma is ready to welcome summer with the catchy new track “Coco Loco”, while Rosalía is making waves with the new single “Tuya”, which perfectly blends together reggaeton, Japanese instruments, and flamenco.
Our list for this week also features two songs that we’ve been waiting for a while. BTS celebrated their tenth anniversary with the new single “Take Two”, while Sam Smith and Madonna finally unveiled their highly-anticipated collaboration “Vulgar”.

]]>This touching visual reteams Mendes with Jay Martin, who previously directed music videos for some of his biggest hits, such as “Stitches” and “In My Blood”. The young singer can be seen wandering Toronto on his own on a snowy day, with nothing but the city’s skyline to keep him company.
Mendes shared a few behind-the-scenes anecdotes with his fans before officially dropping the video. He described it as “beautiful”, but admitted it wasn’t so easy to film because the weather was freezing that night and fake snow was going in his mouth the whole time.
The freezing video perfectly captures the song’s chilling emotional state since Mendes wrote it in the aftermath of a big breakup. The song was originally released in early December, shortly after he announced his split from Camila Cabello.
“It’ll Be Okay” is Mendes’ first song since “Summer of Love” featuring Tainy, but he’s yet to announce if they’ll be a part of his next studio album.

]]>Mendes teased the release of his new album back in late September in a series of social media posts. He said he tried to be “as real and as honest” as ever and added this album “feels like a piece of [him] has been written down on paper and recorded into song.”
Wonder hit the shelves on December 4th, and it was preceded by singles “Wonder”, “Monster” featuring Justin Bieber, and “Call My Friends”, which coincided album’s release. It hit no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 89,000 equivalent units sold in the U.S. during its first week on the chart.
The rest of the chart for this week didn’t feature many newcomers, as Bad Bunny’s El Ultimo Tour del Mundo and Ariana Grande’s Positions took the second and third spot. Christmas albums, including Michael Bublé’s Christmas, Carrie Underwood’s My Gift, Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song, Pentatonix’s The Best of Pentatonix Christmas, and Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas were ruling the rest of the top 10.

]]>The Oscars isn’t exactly a music award show, but this list would be incomplete if we failed to mention this moving rendition of “Shallow” that immediately went viral.
This year’s Grammy Awards featured a series of pretty amazing moments, but none of them compares to seeing host Alicia Keys play on two pianos at once.
This list could easily consist of Lizzo’s live performances and nothing else, and no one would complain, but her amazing set at the MTV Video Music Awards made the biggest impact.
Taylor Swift received the Artist of the Decade award at this year’s AMAs and delivered an epic medley of her greatest hits that lasted over 10 minutes, and it really doesn’t get better than that.
The first live rendition of the chart-topping song “Señorita” wasn’t the most theatrical performance at MTV Video Music Awards, but it won us over with the pure emotion that the duo brought to the stage.
