Everything I Thought It Was, Timberlake’s sixth studio album, will officially arrive on March 15. It was previewed with an emotional single, “Selfish,” which was written by Timberlake and a handful of collaborators, including Amy Allen, Henry Walter, Louis Bell, and Theron Thomas.

Speaking about the album in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Timberlake said it is his “most straightforward” record and “best work” to date. He also revealed that he made 100 songs for the album but that only 18 made the cut.

After the album comes out, Timberlake will embark on The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. The tour will start on April 29 in Vancouver, Ontario, followed by shows in Seattle, Phoenix, Atlanta, Chicago, and New York, among other cities. Justin Timberlake really kept us waiting for his sixth solo studio album, and he finally confirmed its long-awaited release. The pop superstar confirmed he has new music on the way by dropping the album trailer for Justin Timberlake Presents: Everything I Thought It Was.

Timberlake spent the past few weeks dropping hints about new music, and fans lost it when he announced a free concert in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. The fans who were lucky enough to get the tickets had the pleasure of hearing his upcoming single “Selfish” for the first time – and there’s more where that came from!

Shortly after this free concert, Timberlake took to social media to share the trailer for Justin Timberlake Presents: Everything I Thought It Was. Hilariously narrated by the Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro, the atmospheric trailer doesn’t reveal too much about Timberlake’s next album, but it certainly got the fans excited.

Everything I Thought It Was will mark the follow-up to Timberlake’s hit album Man of the Woods, which hit the shelves in 2018 and produced top ten singles “Filthy” and “Say Something”. He’s taking the promo for his next LP pretty seriously, and he’s expected to perform two new songs on Saturday Night Live on January 27.

Justin Timberlake seems to be gearing up for the start of his next era, and he found a special way to mark the occasion. The ten-time Grammy winner is heading back to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee for a one-night-only free concert next week.

Timberlake announced the news by sharing a photo of a billboard in his hometown, which reads, “Justin Timberlake is performing for one night only in Memphis.” He captioned the photo with the words “going home”, and also revealed that the concert would take place on January 19 at Memphis’ Orpheum Theatre.

Fans have until January 15 to register for free seats on Ticketmaster, and their website reveals that “tickets are free, non-transferable and must be picked up with a matching ID at the venue on the night of the show”, adding there is a two-ticket limit per person.

Fans believe that Timberlake will use this concert to announce new music, and this isn’t the first hint he shared with the world. Just last week, he scrubbed his Instagram as a part of what appeared to be a career reset ahead of a new project.

The singer’s fans are eagerly awaiting the follow-up to his 2018 album Man of the Woods, but it’s also possible Timberlake would reunite with his boy band NSYNC after they dropped their comeback single “Better Place” last year.

It’s been five years since Justin Timberlake dropped his last studio album, but it seems he’s finally gearing up for a comeback. According to his longtime collaborator and producer Timbaland, the pop star finished recording his next studio album and it’s up to him when he’s going to share it with the world.

Timbaland recently set down with Variety to discuss some of his upcoming projects and addressed the status of Timberlake’s next studio album.

“We just finished up and everything sounds great. Now it’s really on him how and when he envisions it to come out, but it’s done and it’s coming… It’s fun Justin — it’s like FutureSex/LoveSounds but nothing too heavy, just giving you what you expect from us,” he explained.

Timberlake has been collaborating with Timbaland since the very start of his solo career, starting with the singer’s breakout solo hit “Cry Me a River”. He went on to produce Timberlake’s debut album Justified and most of his subsequent LPs and singles.

It’s been over five years since Timberlake released his last studio album Man of the Woods in 2018. This album debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, and its singles “Filthy” and “Say Something” ft. Chris Stapleton reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the latter scoring a Grammy nod for best pop duo/group performance.

Justin Timberlake is back with some new music. After teasing his fans in the previous few days, the singer now released his new single, “The Other Side.” The song, his first since 2018’s “SoulMate,” sees him teaming up with the talented R&B artist SZA.

While Timberlake decided to end his studio break, don’t get your hopes up that he will have a new album out soon. “The Other Side” was written specifically for animated fantasy Trolls World Tour and serves as the first single for its soundtrack.

The track also saw writing contributions from Ludwig Göransson, Sarah Aarons, and SZA. Timbaland and Göransson handled the production. You can hear the song and watch the music video below.

“It has been such a fun process writing and executive producing for this project,” said Timberlake in a statement. “Being able to bring together different creatives from various disciplines and genres has been the most rewarding part.”

Justin Timberlake was also featured on the soundtrack for the first Trolls movie. The song he recorded for the 2016’s animated feature, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” was a massive hit, topping the US Billboard Hot 100. It was the best-selling track in the United States, while also earning several other achievements.

With 2019 coming to a close, everyone’s making “best of” list for the decade that has passed. But what about the decade before it?

The 2000s were surely one of the most unusual periods in music history known for combining many different styles and giving modern music a new fresh direction; not to mention the famous clothing styles of the era that contributed to the uniqueness of the music videos and make us laugh today with their wackiness.

Even though it was a pretty strange and fast-moving time, it did give us some of the greatest hit songs ever recorded. We can still hear many of those songs on the radio, at the club, or while randomly surfing YouTube, and they instantly take us back to the good times in the 2000s.

Here are the 10 greatest hits that hypnotized the world at the beginning of this century, and you know you want to hear them again.

Whenever Wherever – Shakira (2001)

Sexy Back – Justin Timberlake (2006)

Beautiful Day – U2 (2000)

Falling – Alicia Keys (2001)

Lose Yourself – Eminem (2002)

Single Ladies – Beyonce (2008)

Hey Ya – Outkast (2008)

Gold Digger – Kanye West (2005)

So What – P!nk (2008)
