]]>This week has been pretty epic for hip-hop collaborations, starring with B.G. and Gucci Mane’s new album Choppers & Bricks, which produced the song “Talk”.
Nicki Minaj teamed up with Monica and Keyshia Cole for “Love Me Enough”, a bonus track featured on a deluxe edition of her latest album Pink Friday 2. “Lace It” by the late Juice WRLD, Eminem, and Benny Blanco also made the cut, along with Bas’s “Home Alone” feat. J. Cole.
Speaking of epic collaborations that hit the shelves this week, none of them created more buzz than Reneé Rapp & Megan Thee Stallion’s “Not My Fault”. They both channeled their inner Regina George in this catchy bop, set to be featured in the upcoming Mean Girls musical remake.
Check out the rest of our list for this week, and get ready to discover new music by Lil Baby, Karol G, John Legend, James Arthur, and more.

]]>“Don’t Need to Sleep” is a piano-forward song with lyrics that ring with hopefulness, perseverance, optimism, and sacrifice. You can listen to it below.
“I am honored to contribute an original song to ‘We Dare to Dream,’” said Legend back in October when his involvement in the documentary was first announced. “Waad Al-Kateab has created an important film, and I hope “Don’t Need to Sleep” does the documentary and its extraordinary subjects justice.”
We Dare to Dream tells the story of refugee athletes from Cameroon, Iran, Syria, and South Sudan and their quest to secure a spot at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The documentary was released in early December on streaming service Peacock and received generally positive reviews.
“Don’t Need to Sleep” is Legend’s first new song since the singer released his ninth studio album, Legend, in 2022. However, the Grammy Award-winner has kept himself busy with other projects since then, making several guest appearances, including being featured on the track “On Time” from Metro Boomin’s record Heroes & Villains.

]]>Legend recognized the fact we all desperately need things to entertain us while we stay at home, so he decided to put some new music out this year, but it’s still unclear how long it will take for us to hear it.
“We’re going to release some music. I don’t know what the schedule’s going to be like, we’re just going to start putting stuff out. We’re in the process of mixing a lot of the stuff on the record. Luckily, I already wrote and recorded most of it,” said Legend on Instagram.
The “Together at Home” series was started by Chris Martin who invited other artists to join in and stream their performances live from home. John Legend’s set featured an appearance from his wife Chrissy Teigen and daughter Luna, and he challenged Miguel and Charlie Puth to take part.

“The idea behind the song is that sometimes we can get so frustrated by the news and what’s going on and there’s this scatter going on in ourselves. Do we become apathetic? Do we become engaged? Do we just talk about it, or do we do something?” explained Legend in a statement.

]]>We wouldn’t mind having Christmas dinner with John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, but since we haven’t received their invitation, listening to this album is the next best thing.
Releasing her first Christmas album was one of Jessie J’s biggest dreams, and she finally saw it come true in 2018.
If you’re looking for a taste of something a little bit different this holiday season, Tyler the Creator’s got you covered. In addition to composing hip-hop version of the song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” he also dropped an EP inspired by this film.
This one technically doesn’t count since it came out in 2017, but we’re giving Gwen Stefani a shout-out since she recently released a deluxe edition of the hit album.
If you’re in a mood for some a cappella singing this Christmas, it doesn’t get any better than this. Pentatonix has a great track record getting us festive just in time for holidays, and this is their third Christmas album to date.
