The post Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour” Becomes Fifth Highest-Grossing Tour of All Time appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Love On Tour kicked off on September 4, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it took Styles across five different continents in less than two years. The tour included a total of 169 shows divided into seven legs and it ended its run on July 22 in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
According to Billboard’s tracking numbers, Love on Tour attracted five million attendees and grossed a total of $617.3 million. This makes it the fifth-highest-grossing concert tour in history, behind Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, Ed Sheeran’s The Divide Tour, U2’s U2 360° Tour, and Coldplay’s ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour.
Following the conclusion of Love on Tour, Styles took to social media to reflect on his time on the road and described it as the greatest experience of his life. He expressed gratitude to everyone who made it possible, from his band and crew to people who came out to see them play, and thanked fans for giving him “memories that will last a lifetime, more than I could have ever dreamed of.”

]]>Styles shared a photo of himself bowing to the audience in one of his Instagram stories, where he described Love On Tour as the greatest experience of his life. He thanked his band and crew for making each concert special before expressing gratitude to his fans.
“I feel so incredibly full and happy, it’s all because of you. You have given me memories that will last a lifetime, more than I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your love. It’s been an honor to play for you. I hope you had as much fun as I did,” wrote Styles.
Love On Tour was the singer’s second solo concert tour and it supported his second and third studio albums, Fine Line and Harry’s House. After several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Love On Tour kicked off in Las Vegas, Nevada last September. It saw Styles perform 169 concerts across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia before concluding the tour with the final show in Italy on July 22.

]]>The post Harry Styles Takes Us to the Circus in the Dreamy “Daylight” Video appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>The vibrant visual was directed by Tanu Muino, and it shows the singer joining a circus and exploring everything it has in store—from serving as a knife thrower’s target and getting blown out of a cannon from flying high in the skies dressed as a yellow bird.
“Daylight” was released as one of the songs from his latest studio album Harry’s House. There were many speculations surrounding it at the time of its release, and some fans even assumed it was inspired by his ex Taylor Swift, but Styles dismissed these speculations.
“You’re reading too much into it. You know I’d love to tell you that you’re spot on, but I can’t. No, sorry… Most of the time when I write songs they kind of start out as, like, I guess mine. It’s important to write from whatever you’re going through at the time,” the singer told Howard Stern.
This isn’t the first “Daylight” video that Styles shared with his fans. He previously joined forces with James Corden during an appearance on his talk show and filmed the best music video they possibly could with just three hours and $300 at their disposal.

]]>The post Harry Styles Drops “Satellite” Video About Adorable Robot Looking for Meaning appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>The robot’s journey starts after watching the footage of the Curiosity rover traversing Mars in solitude. Succession’s Brian Cox narrates the video, saying, “Curiosity was born on Mars. It has spent over 10 lonely years roaming the surface of the red planet.”
The robot’s adventure kicks off backstage at one of Styles’ concerts before it leaves it all behind to see the world and reach NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It wanders the crowded streets of LA and survives the harsh Las Vegas desert, but its battery expires on a grassy field under the starry sky, just before it’s about to reach its final destination.
Some of the footage for the video was filmed at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, where Styles performed 15 concerts this winter. “Satellite” is one of the songs from his latest studio album Harry’s House, and it was released as its fourth single after “As It Was”, “Late Night Talking”, and “Music for a Sushi Restaurant”.

]]>Styles recently made an appearance on the final episode of James Corden’s Late Late Show and took part in the “Spill Your Guts or Eat Your Guts” segment. The segment requires participants to either answer the question truthfully or eat unappetizing food. Expectedly, Styles was handed a question that everyone wanted to know the answer to: “Yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion? Will it ever happen?”
To his credit, Styles opted to “spill his guts” and answer in a way that provides a glimpse of hope to One Direction fans.
“I fear that it’s not a yes or no question,” said Styles. “I think I would never say never to that. If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t.”
One Direction was formed in 2010 during the reality singing competition The X Factor, consisting of Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. During their time together, they released five studio albums and sold 70 million records worldwide. The group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016 to allow individual members to explore other projects.

]]>After entering the ceremony with nine nominations to tie with Jay-Z as the most nominated artist in Grammy history, Beyoncé managed to win four awards, bringing her career total to 32 trophies. She won awards for best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”), and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).
It was also a big night for Harry Styles, who won two awards with Harry’s House: album of the year and best pop vocal album. Lizzo also had a reason to celebrate after defeating the likes of Styles, Beyoncé, and Adele to win the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.
The Big Four categories delivered a few shockers this year, starting with Bonnie Raitt’s song of the year win with “Just Like That”. It was also quite surprising to see the jazz singer Samara Joy pick up the best new artist award, in the category which included the likes of Latto and Måneskin.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, with Trevor Noah serving as a host.

]]>The post 5 Best Albums That Rocked Our World in 2022 appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Harry Styles has given us one of the defining songs of 2022 with “As It Was”, but the rest of his album Harry’s House is equally worthy of praise, despite containing fewer smash hits than its predecessor Fine Line.
It took six years for Beyoncé to grace us with Renaissance, but her comeback album was worth waiting for. The love letter to ’70s dance music, this LP gave us some of Queen Bey’s catchiest songs to date, including the lead single “Break My Soul”.
With 13 weeks atop the Billboard 200, Un Verano Sin Ti shattered one record after another and established Bad Bunny not only as a reggaeton superstar but a global icon.
Lamar never failed to impress us with his new music, and his latest album is his most therapeutic to date, exploring a wide range of heavy subjects through its brilliant lyrics that most hip-hop artists these days never try to address.
Despite giving us one genius record after another, FKA Twigs remains one of the most underrated artists of her generation. Her latest mixtape Caprisongs truly shines thanks to her angelic voice and the long list of collaborators that she brought to the table.

Swift benefited from being nominated in both pop and country categories, and the list of her awards also included favorite female pop artist, favorite female country artist, and favorite country album. This brings her total of AMAs to 40, extending her record as the most-awarded artist in the show’s history.
The list of major winners at this year’s ceremony also included Harry Styles, Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Morgan Wallen, and Wizkid, with two awards each. Dove Cameron was named the new artist of the year, while Elton John and Dua Lipa won the award for collaboration of the year with “Cold Heart”.

]]>Fan footage from the concert shows Styles dressed in a sleeveless shirt with a “Harryween” inscription on the back and black jeans while donning a Zuko-like hairdo. After showing off some dance moves, he starts singing “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” performed by Olivia Newton-John’s Sandy in the movie, and the crowd quickly joins in.
During the performance, the video wall behind Styles projected photos of Newton-John, who passed away back in August.
Released in 1978, the romantic musical Grease centered on a summer fling between two high-school students, greaser Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, a transfer student from Australia. The movie’s soundtrack was one of the best-selling albums of the year, while John Farrar-written “Hopelessly Devoted To You” earned an Academy Award nomination and reached No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
After the show, Styles shared his full Halloween costume on Instagram. The 28-year-old singer is currently wrapping up his U.S. tour that will see him perform nine shows at Kia Forum.

The 50th American Music Awards took place on November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with Wayne Brady serving as a host.
