]]>The alternative rock legends Weezer will hit the iconic Coachella stage during Weekend 1, on Saturday around 3 p.m. Ed Sheeran, who’s fresh off releasing the lead single from his new album Play titled “Azizam”, will take the same slot during Weekend 2.
Weezer and Sheeran were added to the Coachella lineup shortly after the festival lost two major performers. The shifts in the schedule were made shortly after FKA Twigs canceled her scheduled tour dates for the rest of April across North America due to “ongoing visa issues”. The Brazilian pop star Anitta also pulled out of the festival, citing “unexpected personal reasons.”
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is returning to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California for two weekends, between April 11–13 and April 18–20. Lady Gaga, Green Day, Travis Scott, and Post Malone are headlining the festival, while the lineup also includes Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Missy Elliott, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, GloRilla, and Marina.

]]>After a few slow weeks for new album releases, this Friday has given us several amazing new records. FKA Twigs’s Eusexua is finally here, and it features an unexpected collaboration with North West, “Childlike Things”. Central Cee’s Can’t Rush Greatness produced “Truth in the Lies” ft. Lil Durk, while Kane Brown’s The High Road has given us “Haunted” ft. Jelly Roll.
Speaking of amazing collaborations, our list for this week features quite a few. Lord Huron’s “Who Laughs Last” ft. Kristen Stewart is our personal favorite, but you’ll also love Tamino’s “Sanctuary” ft. Mitski and Kygo’s “Chasing Paradise” ft. OneRepublic.
The rest of our list features artists from a wide range of different genres, from punk and rock to pop and country. Stick around to discover new music by Rise Against, Alessia Cara, Teddy Swims, and Nova Twins.

]]>This week has been pretty slow in terms of major album releases, but that didn’t stop Bon Iver from rocking our world with their new EP Sable. The indie folk band shared four new songs on this record, each one amazing in its own right, but “Things Behind Things Behind Things” emerged as our favorite.
Speaking of new albums, Kylie Minogue returned with the sequel album Tension II, continuing her ongoing love affair with electronic music. In addition to collaborations with Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo, Sia, and The Blessed Madonna, the Australian singer prepared several solo songs, such as “Someone For Me”.
It was a great week for female vocalists overall, with artists from all genres and corners of the world making it to our list. Blackpink’s Rosé created more buzz than anyone with her new single “APT.” ft. Bruno Mars, but our list also includes new songs by Gracie Abrams, FKA Twigs, Bishop Briggs, and many more.

]]>Several songs on our list for this week marked the start of new eras for some of our favorite artists, starting with The Weeknd. He recently announced his next studio album Hurry Up Tomorrow, and its lead single “Dancing in the Flames” was worth the wait.
Tate McRae set the stage for the next chapter of her career with a new single “It’s Ok, I’m Ok” and paid homage with its epic music video. FKA Twigs is currently gearing up for the release of her third studio album Eusexua, and she gave us a taste of things to come with the lead single of the same name.
When it comes to new album releases, our favorite indie artists were having a field day this Friday. Suki Waterhouse promoted her new album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin with “Model, Actress, Whatever”, London Grammar impressed us with “You and I” from The Greatest Love, while Snow Patrol rocked our world with “Never Really Tire” from The Forest is the Path.

]]>Twigs is one of the faces of Calvin Klein’s new campaign alongside Blackpink’s Jennie, Kendall Jenner, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. She said it’s an honor to be the new face of this brand and work closely with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggo to create something that reflects her as a woman and artist.
Just like Twigs’ Grammy-nominated music video for “Cellophane”, her Calvin Klein visual sees the singer gracefully showing off her dance move, while allowing her to showcase her confidence and sensuality and be her true and authentic self.
“I’m always excited to create iconic imagery that will stay in people’s minds. For me, that comes from telling the truth. People can feel that; it stays with them because it’s an emotional and visceral reaction,” she told The Rolling Stone.
Calvin Klein’s new ad gave us a 30-second snippet of FKA Twigs’ new song, but not much else is known about it. She’s currently plotting her third studio album, and she teased its release by dropping the lead single “Killer” back in June last year.

]]>Harry Styles has given us one of the defining songs of 2022 with “As It Was”, but the rest of his album Harry’s House is equally worthy of praise, despite containing fewer smash hits than its predecessor Fine Line.
It took six years for Beyoncé to grace us with Renaissance, but her comeback album was worth waiting for. The love letter to ’70s dance music, this LP gave us some of Queen Bey’s catchiest songs to date, including the lead single “Break My Soul”.
With 13 weeks atop the Billboard 200, Un Verano Sin Ti shattered one record after another and established Bad Bunny not only as a reggaeton superstar but a global icon.
Lamar never failed to impress us with his new music, and his latest album is his most therapeutic to date, exploring a wide range of heavy subjects through its brilliant lyrics that most hip-hop artists these days never try to address.
Despite giving us one genius record after another, FKA Twigs remains one of the most underrated artists of her generation. Her latest mixtape Caprisongs truly shines thanks to her angelic voice and the long list of collaborators that she brought to the table.

]]>Magdalene is a followup to the British singer’s debut, LP1, which was released in 2014. Between now and then, FKA Twigs has endured heartbreak, depression, and undergone surgery.
FKA Twigs said of her new record: “I never thought heartbreak could be so all-encompassing. I never thought that my body could stop working to the point that I couldn’t express myself physically in the ways that I have always loved and found so much solace.
“I have always practiced my way into being the best I could be, but I couldn’t do that this time, I was left with no option but to tear every process down. But the process of making this album has allowed me for the first time, and in the most real way, to find compassion when I have been at my most ungraceful, confused and fractured.”
She added: “I stopped judging myself and at that moment found hope in ‘Magdalene’. To her I am forever grateful”.

]]>Magdalene is the followup to LP1, which was released back in 2014. The new album was co-produced by Nicolas Jaar and has been a three-year process. Now, the album is on its way and FKA Twigs has revealed the emotional inspiration behind the record.
Speaking with i-D, she said: “I was in a sad place, mentally, and I didn’t want to come out of it. I don’t have many friends there, and wasn’t communicating with my friends or family here. I just went and locked myself off.”
“The record is about every lover that I’ve ever had, and every lover that I’m going to have,” she continued. “Just when you think it’s really fragile and about to fall apart, there’s an absolute defiance and strength in a way that my work’s never had before”.
She added: “It’s really fragile. I made it at a time when I was in recovery – physically and emotionally – and I think that comes through.”
The raw and emotional second record Magdaline is due for release this fall.

]]>Although the tour only consists of ten dates, the tour will span across three continents. The tour will kick off in New York City and will finish all the way in Australia.
FKA Twigs has not released a new album since M3LL155X in 2015. Last year, she collaborated with A$AP Rocky on his single “Fukk Sleep”.
Here is the list of tour dates and cities she will play in:
May 07 + 08 – Los Angeles
May 11 + 12 – New York City
May 24 – Berlin
May 28 – London
May 30 – Barcelona
June 1 – Paris
June 09 – Sydney
June 14 – Hobart
In 2018, the singer revealed that she had six tumors on her uterus. She wrote at the time: “I tried to be brave but it was excruciating at times and to be honest I started to doubt if my body would ever feel the same again.”
After going through such difficult times, a world tour is exactly what she needs to feel herself again. Fortunately for her, she isn’t playing too many dates so she will get to travel and enjoy the cities she is visiting too.
