]]>Our favorite artists are slowly going back to sharing their new albums with the world, and Green Day’s Saviors is definitely this week’s most exciting new release. They teased it with several singles, and ’90s-inspired “Bobby Sox” might be one of the very best.
This week has also been pretty epic for fans of alternative sound, with several of our favorite bands sharing new music with the world. Everyone from Bleachers and IDLES to Cage the Elephant and The Libertines have been busy in the studio in recent months, and they’re finally ready to show us what they’ve been up to.

]]>Larsson wrote this song alongside her frequent collaborators MNEK and Danja and said its lyrics are all about saying “enough is enough” to people who aren’t good for you.
“We started writing over PRIDE, and began talking about how amazing it is that anyone can love anyone – but that doesn’t mean you always should! We’ve all had that friend, or been that friend, who keeps going back to someone who’s bad for them,” explained Larsson in a press release.
“You Love Who You Love” has been released as the fourth single from her upcoming album Venus. She described it as a pop album fit for a goddess, which sees her setting her own agenda by looking back on where she’s come from.
Venus will hit the shelves on February 9, and Larsson will promote it with a headlining tour across Europe. Its release was preceded by three more singles, “Can’t Tame Her”, “End of Time”, and “On My Love” ft. David Guetta.

]]>This week has been pretty slow in terms of new releases because most of our favorite stars took a break to celebrate Thanksgiving with their loved ones. That didn’t stop our favorite artists outside of the United States from dropping new music and giving us some amazing new songs in the process.
This has been an amazing week for female collaborations, and two of the best songs from our list fall under that category. Kali Uchis and Karol G knocked it out of the park with their new collaboration “Labios Mordidos”, while Björk and Rosalía seamlessly blended their unique artistic styles on their new duet “Oral”.
Speaking of great collaborations to make it to our list, Jacob Collier’s new song “Witness Me” is also worth listening to and features contributions from Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, and Kirk Franklin.
It’s also been a great week for alternative artists, with Winona Oak, The Japanese House, and Sam Fischer managing to beat tough competition and make it to our list of the best new songs of the week.

]]>Larsson told Billboard that Venus is “a very solid body of work” that she’s very proud of and dropped some hints about the genres she’s going to explore. She said she’ll stick to her signature pop sound, but added her new album will also feature R&B-leaning tracks with drum patterns and beats, but her voice will be the main thread tying it all together.
When asked how Venus compares to her previous album Poster Girl, the Swedish songstress explained that the alter ego she created this time is “definitely more dynamic” than the previous one.
“She is more brave in the sense that she dares to be more personal and emotional, but she’s also just a bit more personal in the sassy, fun way. Like she would say some s—, you know? She’s more playful, but at the same time, more honest,” Larsson told Billboard.
Venus will be released on February 9, 2024, and Larsson gave us a taste of things to come with singles “Can’t Tame Her”, “End of Time”, and “On My Love”.

]]>This week brought several amazing new albums our way, and Mitski’s The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We is definitely the most exciting new release. This LP features a total of 11 songs – each one deserving of a spot on our list – but “My Love Mine All Mine” is our personal favorite.
Diddy also surprised us with his first album in years, The Love Album: Off the Grid, which features countless A-list collaborations. “Other One Of Me” was released as its latest single and it saw the iconic rapper join forces with The Weeknd, 21 Savage, and French Montana.
The rest of our list features an interesting mix of genres, ranging from hip-hop and EDM to pop and alternative rock. Drake’s collaboration with SZA, “Slime You Out”, is one of the week’s buzziest new releases, but our list also includes new music from Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Sia, Sufjan Stevens, and All Time Low.

]]>The Swedish singer described her latest track as a part symphonic power ballad, part dystopian dance banger. Her frequent collaborators Rick Nowels and Danja wrote and produced this song by her side and also helped her bring her upcoming album to life.
Larsson joined forces with the Baker Twins for the “End of Time” music video, and she described both the visual and the song’s lyrics as very personal to her.
“I have explored this theme before, that there’s a real duality to my life in being a fan and a creator, a real person, and a pop star. I’m working on loving all those sides equally. That’s why I feel like the video is my version of an eternal love story,” she said in a press release.
“End of Time” was released as the second single from her upcoming fourth studio album, and it was preceded by “Can’t Tame Her” back in January. Larsson told NME that her new album is “pretty much done” last year, adding that it’s sonically “a little harder” than her old music.

]]>The Swedish superstar shared this song with the world by releasing an electric music video that perfectly reflects its message. It shows Larsson walking away from her partner, and going through life on her own, without a worry in sight.
While discussing her new album with Billboard, the young singer described this single as one of her “absolute favorites”, so it doesn’t come as a surprise she named an entire tour after it. Larsson announced a series of dates for the tour already, starting with a San Francisco concert on April 29.
Larsson’s schedule is going to be pretty busy over the course of the next few months since she will support Ed Sheeran during his upcoming European leg of his ÷ Tour. There’s still some room to squeeze in a couple of more “Don’t Worry Bout Me” dates, and we can’t wait to see if she’ll find the time.

Larsson won’t be the only artist serving as opening act for Sheeran in Europe in the upcoming few months. British musician James Bay and rock band The Darkness will be there to support him as well.
2019 is shaping up to be a pretty busy year for Zara Larsson, who recently dropped new song “Ruin My Life”. It will serve as lead single for her upcoming third album, and the Swedish singer stressed how important it was for her to do this on her own.
“I thought to myself, I just wanted to release a song, just me. I want people to know who I am. A lot of the times, people have heard my song, any of the singles, but not necessarily know who I am. I wanted to put my face out there,” explained Larsson.
