The band released a series of singles before Weiland exited the project in early 2021 due to “creative differences” with the rest of the group. Cody Houston stepped as a vocalist shortly after.
According to Tsangaris, Trujillo recently also decided to leave Suspect208, followed by Houston. At this point, the remaining band members decided it was time to call it quits.
“We didn’t want to keep dividing up our fan base by getting new people,” said Tsangaris while adding that he and Hudson already started a new band called S8NT ELEKTRIC.
While Suspect208 received significant attention mostly due to their links with famous bands, the group also had an intriguing sound that showed promise and was compared to Velvet Revolver. Altogether, they released four singles during their brief time together: “All Black,” “Nicotine,” “Long Awaited,” and “You Got It.”

]]>The title of this record originates from the Spanish word for “loss”, which is pretty fitting since they wanted to explore the feeling of heartbreak and grief with this album.
“I was looking back at difficult moments in my life. I was trying to be vulnerable and that’s a scary thing to do, but it’s also kind of comfortable,” said the band’s lead singer Jeff Gutt while chatting with Rolling Stone.
Perdida has been described as an acoustic album and most of the songs were recorded on vintage instruments. That’s why it’s only fitting to support it with unplugged tour – and that’s exactly what the members of Stone Temple Pilots intend to do when they hit the road next year.
Perdida will come out on February 7th, and it will feature a total of ten songs, including previously released single “Fare Thee Well”. They’ll kick off the tour two days earlier, with a concert at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom on February 5th.

]]>Kretz discussed the band’s latest studio effort with Loudwire Nights during the latest edition of Louder than Life Festival and explained what we can expect once this record hits the shelves.
“It’s different in that – every record we’ve done has some really hard-hitting songs and we usually open every album with it, whereas this one doesn’t have loud, hard-hitting songs. We really tapped into an emotional side of ourselves and took it to do the whole record that way,” said Kretz.
The Stone Temple Pilots drummer also added they wanted to pay homage to folk music that they grew up on in the ‘60s and ‘70s with this new album. That’s why it features a lot of acoustic guitars and even a “wicked flute solo,” according to Kretz.

“Slipknot has always had some of the most loyal, rabid fans in rock, but now they are at that pivotal moment when they’ve crossed over into iconic status; Disturbed has had their best touring numbers to date this year; then top it off with one of the biggest rock bands of all time in Guns N’ Roses…this year is our most massive lineup yet,” – said festival producer Danny Wimmer in a statement.
One of the most anticipated sets on Louder Than Life, however, will be the one from recently reunited Staind. This will be the band’s first live performance together in more than five years.
“We wouldn’t be living up to the name Louder Than Life if we didn’t come back bigger and badder than ever, giving fans something they can’t see anywhere else,” – Wimmer added.”Getting Staind back together and plugged in on the main stage is something that I’ve been working on for years. These are songs that need to be heard, that fans have been dying to hear — Staind has been one of the most requested bands on our socials, and it’s an honor to be bringing their music back for the fans at Louder Than Life.”
