]]>An artist becomes eligible for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording, and many of this year’s candidates happen to be first-timers. That happens to be the case with the English rock supergroup Bad Company, blues-rockers The Black Crowes, early rock n’ roll legend Chubby Checker, blues singer Joe Cocker, punk rocker Billy Idol, Mexican rockers Maná, and hip-hop duo Outkast.
The list of 14 acts vying for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction also includes the powerhouse singer Mariah Carey, post-punk pioneers Joy Division/New Order, dance-pop legend Cyndi Lauper, jam band Phish, grunge hitmakers Soundgarden, the rock duo The White Stripes, and Britpop band Oasis, who recently reunited for the sold-out Oasis Live ’25 Tour.
Nominees will be voted on by a committee of 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The Class of 2025 will be announced in late April, while the induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this fall.

]]>The rivalry between the Gallaghers has been making headlines for years, but they revealed they’re finally ready to bury the hatchet by releasing a cryptic statement, “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Shortly after this post went viral on social media, Oasis officially confirmed their reunion, explaining it wasn’t caused by a great revelatory moment, but the gradual realization that the time is right. This announcement comes shortly before the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe, which went down in history as one of the defining Britpop records.
Oasis will celebrate their reunion with a tour across the UK and Ireland next summer, which will feature 14 dates, including four at London’s Wembley Stadium and four at Manchester’s Heaton Park. The tickets will go on sale on August 31, and plans are underway for the band to also announce tour dates outside of Europe.

Pop goddess Cher, the R&B superstar Mariah Carey, and the British band Oasis made the cut this year, along with the late Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor, nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, and the rock sensation Lenny Kravitz.
Ten of 15 nominees this year are in the running for the first time, but some of them are no strangers to being nominated, including A Tribe Called Quest and Dave Matthews Band. Ozzy Osbourne had even been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 with his band Black Sabbath, but he’s in the running again as an individual artist.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will announce the list of inductees in April, while the induction ceremony will take place in Cleveland this fall.

]]>Måneskin’s Rush! World Tour concluded at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK on December 19, and they marked the occasion in the best way possible. The Italian quartet surprised the audience by paying tribute to one of the most popular bands to come out of Manchester – Oasis.
“This f—ing city gave birth to a lot of very, very good artists. But there’s one in particular which is pretty nice. We’re sure that if one day [they] see this cover, they’re gonna think it’s f—ng trash,” said Måneskin’s Damiano David, poking fun at Liam and Noel Gallagher’s tendency to bad-mouth both the other artists and their own band.
Måneskin’s Rush! World Tour included 30 dates across five continents, before concluding in Manchester. The Italian band embarked on a tour in support of their third studio album Rush!, which came out earlier this year and produced a reissue titled Rush! (Are U Coming?), which hit the shelves on November 10.

]]>Gallagher posted a video on his Instagram that shows Squire playing guitar throughout the years, including footage from his special guest appearance with Oasis at their iconic Knebworth concert in 1996.
“John Squire without a doubt the best guitarist of his generation and in the world in my opinion,” Gallagher wrote in the caption.
Gallagher also added a link to gallaghersquire.com website, which prompts fans to sign up for a newsletter in order to find out more about his and Squire’s project.
Liam Gallagher and John Squire had plans to collaborate together for a while. Back in 2022, Gallagher said in an interview with Matt Wilkinson on Apple Music 1 that he and Squire are planning a project together but are taking their time.
“He’s my man, I love him. So if he’s got any tunes that need singing, I’m the boy, mate,” said Gallagher at the time.
Gallagher is currently bracing for a tour that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ seminal album Definitely Maybe. The singer plans to perform all the songs from the album alongside B-sides and rarities.
Squire, on the other hand, has been out of the spotlight since wrapping up a reunion tour with The Stone Roses 2017. His most recent live appearance was at a pair of Gallagher’s Knebworth House concert in 2022.

]]>What will Gallagher do with all the money? According to him, he will buy a plane, a yacht, a chimp with a top hat and a rocket – but he was probably joking. “Trust me, I will be selling mine to the highest bidder. Well, what am I going to keep them for? So my kids can benefit? Nah,” said the singer.
He was also asked if an Oasis reunion is possible in the future. “I sincerely hope not”, said Gallagher crunching any hopes the fans had. This reaction is not so surprising giving the years-long and clearly public feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. Noel recently labeled Liam’s solo music as “unsophisticated music for unsophisticated people by an unsophisticated man”.
