]]>“Due to scheduling conflicts Future will not be on the North American run,” said the press release. “Nicki Minaj will be announcing new North American dates to kick off in May 2019. Refunds for the previously scheduled North American dates will be available at point of purchase, with new Nicki Minaj on-sale details announced soon.”
This won’t affect the current dates for Minaj and Future’s European tour which will kick off on February 21st, 2019.
According to a recent report from Page Six, the North America leg of Nicki Minaj and Future’s joint tour wasn’t a good seller at all. Sources from Live Nation told Page Six that the big venues with up to 20,000 capacities were selling only several thousands of tickets, which put the entire tour in danger of being canceled. Now, those predictions came true.
Nicki Minaj is touring in support of her fourth studio album Queen, which was released on August 10th, 2018 after several delays. Contrary to expectations, Queen didn’t top the US Billboard 200, coming in at No.2 behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld. The record received generally favorable reviews from the critics.

]]>“It’s a big night for me because I just let the world know that my album is coming June 15th and it’s called Queen, and I can’t wait,” said Minaj. “I’m dressed like a queen every day, all day.”
Nicki Minaj previously released two singles from the album, “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” on April 12th. Both singles received positive reviews from the critics and had strong performances on the charts.
While promoting “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” Minaj revealed that the recording of her new album started in January but that some of the songs on the release date back over 18 months. It is expected that 2017’s singles “No Frauds,” “Changed It,” and “Regret In Your Tears” will also find their place on Queen. She also revealed that a documentary focusing on the creation of the album is in the works.
“I wanted to make sure I was writing something that was meaningful to me and that would inspire and that would captivate my audience,” said Minaj of her new album in a recent Beats 1 interview. “But most importantly, I wanted to have fun again.”
