]]>“Crazy Horse is about to enter the studio with 11 new ones,” – Young wrote in a reply to one of the fans on his official website.
“We sincerely hope [fans] enjoy our new music when it is released this year because we know we will enjoy making it.” – he added.
After laying low for four years, Neil Young and Crazy Horse reunited in May 2018 for a pair of shows at Warnors Theatre in Fresno, California. They continued playing occasional live shows since then including two shows this year back in February in Winnipeg, Canada.
Young is set to have a busy 2019 since he will also embark on a summer tour which will see him playing shows in North America, UK and Europe. Some of them will be solo shows while others will feature his regular backing band Promise of the Real.

]]>“First time in a long time, live on stage. No rehearsal,” wrote Young on his official website while revealing that Jonathan Richman (Modern Lovers) will serve as an opening act for these shows.
This incarnation of Crazy Horse will see guitarist Nils Lofgren reuniting with bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina. Lofgren was a member of the Crazy Horse from 1970 to 1971, recording 1971’s Crazy Horse, released without Neil Young. Lofgren and Young previously worked together on albums After the Gold Rush, Tonight’s the Night and Trans.
Nils Lofgren confirmed his involvement in the upcoming shows via his Twitter profile.

“Life is an unfolding saga,” Young detailed the reunion on his website. “A few months ago we started talking about playing some remote clubs and getting our feet wet again. Come and see us if you can as we approach our 50th year as a band. I think it will be the beginning of another beautiful chapter in our long, enriching and life changing Crazy Horse story.”
Neil Young and Crazy Horse started their collaboration in 1969 with the album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and went on to collaborate on 22 more albums. After taking a lengthy break from studio releases since 2004’s Greendale, Neil Young and Crazy Horse released two studio albums in 2012, Americana and Psychedelic Pill. These two albums remain their latest collaboration releases.
