]]>Tyler, The Creator was supposed to headline the first night of Chicago’s Lollapalooza with Hozier, but he had to cancel his appearance. He’s also no longer a part of San Francisco’s Outside Lands, where he was supposed to headline alongside The Killers, Sturgill Simpson, and The Postal Service.
He took to social media to announce his exit from both festivals and apologized to his fans for the inconvenience.
“I hate saying this but I have to cancel Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. That is not se-y at all. Please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. Love,” he wrote on social media.
Megan Thee Stallion will replace him as the Lollapalooza headliner, which will be taking place from August 1-4 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Sabrina Carpenter will step in for him at Outside Lands, which will be held from August 9-11 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

Stallion discussed her next album in a recent interview with L’Officiel and said she used a lot of snake imagery because this record is themed around the concept of renewal and rebirth.
“Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality. I’m not really a person that’s like, ‘Oh my God, sunshine’ and just super bubbly, happy. I like darker things. I like things that are a little scary. I like things that are unique. I picked the snake because… it’s kind of like an antihero,” she explained.
