Tyler, The Creator was supposed to return to Lollapalooza as this year’s headliner, but he decided to sit this one out. The Grammy-winning rapper pulled out of his headlining set at Lollapalooza, and he’ll be replaced by Megan Thee Stallion.

Tyler, The Creator was supposed to headline the first night of Chicago’s Lollapalooza with Hozier, but he had to cancel his appearance. He’s also no longer a part of San Francisco’s Outside Lands, where he was supposed to headline alongside The Killers, Sturgill Simpson, and The Postal Service.

He took to social media to announce his exit from both festivals and apologized to his fans for the inconvenience.

“I hate saying this but I have to cancel Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. That is not se-y at all. Please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. Love,” he wrote on social media.

Megan Thee Stallion will replace him as the Lollapalooza headliner, which will be taking place from August 1-4 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Sabrina Carpenter will step in for him at Outside Lands, which will be held from August 9-11 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

Megan Thee Stallion dropped many hints about her next album in recent months, and she finally shared the final piece of the puzzle with the world. She announced her next LP will be titled MEGAN during a recent show in Atlanta and confirmed a June release date.

Stallion is currently headlining Hot Girl Summer Tour, and she shared some exciting news during a recent show in Atlanta. The Grammy-winning rapper revealed that her long-awaited third studio album will be self-titled, and it’s expected to hit the shelves on June 28.

This announcement doesn’t come as a shocker since she’s been teasing this record for a few months now. She gave us a taste of things to come with singles “Cobra,” “Boa”, and “Hiss”, the latter of which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her first single as a solo artist to do so.

Stallion discussed her next album in a recent interview with L’Officiel and said she used a lot of snake imagery because this record is themed around the concept of renewal and rebirth.

“Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality. I’m not really a person that’s like, ‘Oh my God, sunshine’ and just super bubbly, happy. I like darker things. I like things that are a little scary. I like things that are unique. I picked the snake because… it’s kind of like an antihero,” she explained.
