]]>Chance the Rapper is no stranger to recording Christmas songs and sharing them with the world. This is a holiday tradition he shares with his best friend and fellow rapper Jeremih. They previously released the mixtape Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama together.
The upcoming album will feature some of the songs from their past mixtapes, but it will also include new tunes, and they’re excited to share it with the entire world this holiday season.
“Every year, me and Jeremih … we would make these Christmas mixtapes and release them on the mixtape circuit. And so now, they’re finally out there for everybody on their Apple Musics and their Tidals and Amazons and all those spaces,” said Chance the Rapper during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Merry Christmas: Lil Mama Deluxe will be released on December 11th, and it will be available on digital and streaming services.

]]>This Christmas, however, we have more Christmas songs coming from the duo. According to the producer of original mixtape Bongo ByTheWay, the two will now turn the mixtape into a full-length album while adding some new songs and covering few classics.
“It’s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it’s gonna be a completion of that project,” – said Bongo to Rap-Up. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”

Chance the Rapper comes off of a big year for him, in which his mixtape Coloring Book won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Coloring Book became the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy and first album to chart on US Billboard 200 (Number 8) thanks to streams only. The 24-year-old received two more Grammys, for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for ‘No Problem’, which features Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.
Jeremih, on the other hand, is still working on his fourth studio album alongside collaborations with Kanye West. The R&B singer announced the album in February 2016 and revealed that the title will be Later That Night. Unfortunately for his fans, we still don’t know when the album might be released.
