]]> Music’s biggest night finally returned to Los Angeles on Sunday, and it was quite spectacular. Beyoncé became the most-awarded artist in the history of Grammy Awards with 32 wins, while Harry Styles and Lizzo won album and record of the year, respectively.

After entering the ceremony with nine nominations to tie with Jay-Z as the most nominated artist in Grammy history, Beyoncé managed to win four awards, bringing her career total to 32 trophies. She won awards for best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”), and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).

It was also a big night for Harry Styles, who won two awards with Harry’s House: album of the year and best pop vocal album. Lizzo also had a reason to celebrate after defeating the likes of Styles, Beyoncé, and Adele to win the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.

The Big Four categories delivered a few shockers this year, starting with Bonnie Raitt’s song of the year win with “Just Like That”. It was also quite surprising to see the jazz singer Samara Joy pick up the best new artist award, in the category which included the likes of Latto and Måneskin.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, with Trevor Noah serving as a host.

]]> The 2023 Grammy Awards are right around the corner, and we finally have the list of nominees for the prestigious award. The R&B superstar Beyoncé leads the way with nine nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar (8), Adele (7), and Brandi Carlile (7).

Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed record Renaissance is up for Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronic Album, while the hit track “Break My Soul” is in the running in Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories. The former Destiny’s Child member has now become the most nominated music act in the history of the Grammy Awards, tying her husband Jay-Z’s record of 88. She is already the most accomplished singer at the Grammys with 28 wins.

Lamar is expected to add to his tally of 14 Grammy Awards on the back of his fifth studio release Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. He is the favorite in the rap categories, where he picked up nominations for Rap Album of the Year, and Rap Performance of the Year, among others.

One of the more interesting storylines at the upcoming 65th annual Grammy Awards will be whether Adele manages to deny Beyoncé the Album of the Year award once again. The last time the two went against each other was in 2017, and Adele’s third studio album 25 ended up topping Beyoncé’s Lemonade for the most prestigious award.

The already fierce competition would probably be even tougher, but several notable music acts decided to withdraw their albums from consideration. This includes new releases from Drake, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s project Silk Sonic.

The ceremony for the 2023 Grammy Awards will be held on February 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Check out all the nominations below.

]]> Music’s biggest night took us to Las Vegas this time around and brought many epic moments our way. The Grammy Awards were held on Sunday, with Jon Batiste topping the list of winners, closely followed by Silk Sonic with four awards and Olivia Rodrigo with three.

Batiste’s triumph isn’t surprising since he topped the list of nominees with a total of 11 nods. Despite the fact that he managed to collect a total of five trophies, only one of them came in the main categories—the award for album of the year for We Are.

Silk Sonic had a much better showing in the main field and walked away with two awards—record and song of the year for “Leave the Door Open”. This song was nominated for four awards and won all of them, including best R&B performance and best R&B song.

Rodrigo was one of the night’s most-nominated stars, and she picked up the trophy for the best new artist and two more awards in the pop categories. The list of winners with three trophies also included D’Mile, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, and CeCe Winans.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards were held on April 3 in Las Vegas with Trevor Noah returning to host for the second year in a row.

Snub: BTS

Grammy voters have never shown BTS a lot of love, but it was still extremely disappointing to see the K-pop band only receive one nomination after giving us the song of the summer with “Butter”.

Surprise: The Weeknd

The Weeknd decided to boycott the Grammys after being shunned last year, but that didn’t stop him from receiving three nominations for collaborating with Kanye West and Doja Cat.

Snubs: Kacey Musgraves

Musgraves used to be a Grammy’s darling and even received the album of the year for Golden Hour, but voters didn’t seem to be as impressed with her latest studio effort and only gave her two nominations.

Surprise: Jon Batiste

Jon Batiste fully deserves the praise for his new album We Are, but it was still quite a shocker to see him top the list of nominations with 11 nods.

Snub: Drake

Drake gave us one of the most talked-about albums of the year with Certified Lover Boy but ended up receiving just two nominations in the rap categories.

]]> Beyoncé goes into the night leading the nominations, but the singer “opted not to perform” at the Grammys 2021.

The show wakes place tonight, after being pushed back from its original end of January spot, due to the pandemic.

Grammy producer Ben Winston, who worked on the awards show for the first time, told the Los Angeles Times that Beyoncé chose not to perform at the ceremony.

“It’s unfortunate because she’s such a big part of the Recording Academy,” he said. “We absolutely wish we had her onstage.”

Winston also said that another star, which he didn’t name, turned down an offer to perform.

“Because she was like, ‘I got snubbed three years ago, and I’m still annoyed about it.’” Winston said he told her: “Right, but you know that’s nothing to do with me? She said, ‘I don’t know—it sort of is, isn’t it?’”

Beyoncé goes into the night leading with nine nominations, including Record of The Year and Song of the Year for “Black Parade”, and Record of the Year for her “Savage Remix” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

It was previously reported that she was in talks to perform “Savage Remix” with Megan Thee Stallion at the ceremony.

]]> After delaying the awards show from the end of January to March 14, the 2021 Grammys’ have announced the performers for the night.

The ceremony will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will be taking place “in and around” the Los Angeles Convention Center under strict COVID-19 protocol with the audience only consisting of performers, nominees, and their guests.

Gracing stage will be Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.

Almost all of the artists performing are also nominees and many will be making their Grammy performing debut including Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, DaBaby, Doja Cat, and Mickey Guyton.

According to the official announcement, “Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all.”

Nominations were announced last year and leading them is Dua Lipa with five including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Following her are Swift with four and Eilish and Beyoncé with three.

]]> This year’s Grammy Awards were scheduled to take place later this month, but we’ll have to wait for it a little bit longer. After careful consideration, the ceremony has been postponed until March due to coronavirus-related concerns.

In an official statement announcing that the ceremony has been rescheduled for March 14th, the Recording Academy representatives explained they felt this was the right thing to do because the health and safety of hundreds of people involved with this show come first.

“We want to thank all of the talented artists, the staff, our vendors, and especially this year’s nominees for their understanding, patience, and willingness to work with us as we navigate these unprecedented times,” reads the statement by the Recording Academy.

Before the postponement, the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were scheduled to take place on January 31st, with The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah serving as the host. Beyoncé topped the list of nominations with a total of nine nods, and she was closely followed by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, and Taylor Swift with six each.

]]> Billie Eilish gave us one of the most talked-about records of 2019 with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Grammy voters loved it so much that she ended up collecting five awards with her brother and songwriting partner Finneas.

Eilish became the first artist since 1981 to win the four major awards in the same year – record and song of the year with “Bad Guy”, album of the year with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and best new artist. She also collected the best pop vocal album trophy.

The Grammy Awards ceremony took place on January 26th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Alicia Keys hosted the event and paid homage to the late basketball player Kobe Bryant alongside Boyz II Men. Several performers at the ceremony, including Lil Nas X, Lizzo and DJ Khaled, also took a moment to pay tribute to the NBA legend.

]]> The Grammy Awards nominations are in and first-time nominees are leading the pack. Lizzo scored eight nominations, while Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X closely followed with six nods each.

The three newcomers will be going against each other in several major categories, including big three – album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year.

Lizzo is going to be competing with the deluxe edition of her latest album Cuz I Love You and breakout hit “Truth Hurts,” which ended up passing Grammys eligibility standards despite being released two years ago.

Billie Eilish secured her spot on nominees list with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and chart-topping single “Bad Guy”. She’s sharing her success with her brother Finneas O’Connell, who scored five nominations at this year’s ceremony.

Lil Nas X is also competing in best album category with his EP 7, in addition to scoring several other nominations with his record-breaking debut single “Old Town Road” alongside Billy Ray Cyrus.

62nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26th, 2020 with Alicia Keys returning to host the ceremony.

]]> If you want something to celebrate, why not celebrate the fact that the number of female artists taking home Grammy Awards this year is up by 82%?

Last year, only 17 of 86 awards were given to women. CEO Neil Portnow suggested at the post-ceremony press conference that it was time for women to “step up.” This year, 31 women were presented with awards, demonstrating that more and more women are nurturing their musical talents and more importantly, that their talents are being recognized and celebrated.

Among the 31 women who won awards were Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Dua Lipa, and Kacey Musgraves. Kacey took home Album of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

Backstage at the event, Musgraves said: “I think that women have a really necessary perspective to art, to music and it’s really nice to see that getting a chance to be included.”

She continued: “I think it takes two to tango and I think it takes women having the balls to put out art that might not always be liked by everyone, but it also takes people on the other side of that to reach out and give those things a chance to be heard or seen.”

]]> Music’s biggest night finally returned to Los Angeles on Sunday, and it was quite spectacular. Beyoncé became the most-awarded artist in the history of Grammy Awards with 32 wins, while Harry Styles and Lizzo won album and record of the year, respectively.

After entering the ceremony with nine nominations to tie with Jay-Z as the most nominated artist in Grammy history, Beyoncé managed to win four awards, bringing her career total to 32 trophies. She won awards for best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”), and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).

It was also a big night for Harry Styles, who won two awards with Harry’s House: album of the year and best pop vocal album. Lizzo also had a reason to celebrate after defeating the likes of Styles, Beyoncé, and Adele to win the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.

The Big Four categories delivered a few shockers this year, starting with Bonnie Raitt’s song of the year win with “Just Like That”. It was also quite surprising to see the jazz singer Samara Joy pick up the best new artist award, in the category which included the likes of Latto and Måneskin.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, with Trevor Noah serving as a host.

]]> The 2023 Grammy Awards are right around the corner, and we finally have the list of nominees for the prestigious award. The R&B superstar Beyoncé leads the way with nine nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar (8), Adele (7), and Brandi Carlile (7).

Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed record Renaissance is up for Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronic Album, while the hit track “Break My Soul” is in the running in Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories. The former Destiny’s Child member has now become the most nominated music act in the history of the Grammy Awards, tying her husband Jay-Z’s record of 88. She is already the most accomplished singer at the Grammys with 28 wins.

Lamar is expected to add to his tally of 14 Grammy Awards on the back of his fifth studio release Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. He is the favorite in the rap categories, where he picked up nominations for Rap Album of the Year, and Rap Performance of the Year, among others.

One of the more interesting storylines at the upcoming 65th annual Grammy Awards will be whether Adele manages to deny Beyoncé the Album of the Year award once again. The last time the two went against each other was in 2017, and Adele’s third studio album 25 ended up topping Beyoncé’s Lemonade for the most prestigious award.

The already fierce competition would probably be even tougher, but several notable music acts decided to withdraw their albums from consideration. This includes new releases from Drake, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s project Silk Sonic.

The ceremony for the 2023 Grammy Awards will be held on February 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Check out all the nominations below.

]]> Music’s biggest night took us to Las Vegas this time around and brought many epic moments our way. The Grammy Awards were held on Sunday, with Jon Batiste topping the list of winners, closely followed by Silk Sonic with four awards and Olivia Rodrigo with three.

Batiste’s triumph isn’t surprising since he topped the list of nominees with a total of 11 nods. Despite the fact that he managed to collect a total of five trophies, only one of them came in the main categories—the award for album of the year for We Are.

Silk Sonic had a much better showing in the main field and walked away with two awards—record and song of the year for “Leave the Door Open”. This song was nominated for four awards and won all of them, including best R&B performance and best R&B song.

Rodrigo was one of the night’s most-nominated stars, and she picked up the trophy for the best new artist and two more awards in the pop categories. The list of winners with three trophies also included D’Mile, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, and CeCe Winans.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards were held on April 3 in Las Vegas with Trevor Noah returning to host for the second year in a row.

Snub: BTS

Grammy voters have never shown BTS a lot of love, but it was still extremely disappointing to see the K-pop band only receive one nomination after giving us the song of the summer with “Butter”.

Surprise: The Weeknd

The Weeknd decided to boycott the Grammys after being shunned last year, but that didn’t stop him from receiving three nominations for collaborating with Kanye West and Doja Cat.

Snubs: Kacey Musgraves

Musgraves used to be a Grammy’s darling and even received the album of the year for Golden Hour, but voters didn’t seem to be as impressed with her latest studio effort and only gave her two nominations.

Surprise: Jon Batiste

Jon Batiste fully deserves the praise for his new album We Are, but it was still quite a shocker to see him top the list of nominations with 11 nods.

Snub: Drake

Drake gave us one of the most talked-about albums of the year with Certified Lover Boy but ended up receiving just two nominations in the rap categories.

]]> Beyoncé goes into the night leading the nominations, but the singer “opted not to perform” at the Grammys 2021.

The show wakes place tonight, after being pushed back from its original end of January spot, due to the pandemic.

Grammy producer Ben Winston, who worked on the awards show for the first time, told the Los Angeles Times that Beyoncé chose not to perform at the ceremony.

“It’s unfortunate because she’s such a big part of the Recording Academy,” he said. “We absolutely wish we had her onstage.”

Winston also said that another star, which he didn’t name, turned down an offer to perform.

“Because she was like, ‘I got snubbed three years ago, and I’m still annoyed about it.’” Winston said he told her: “Right, but you know that’s nothing to do with me? She said, ‘I don’t know—it sort of is, isn’t it?’”

Beyoncé goes into the night leading with nine nominations, including Record of The Year and Song of the Year for “Black Parade”, and Record of the Year for her “Savage Remix” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

It was previously reported that she was in talks to perform “Savage Remix” with Megan Thee Stallion at the ceremony.

The ceremony will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will be taking place “in and around” the Los Angeles Convention Center under strict COVID-19 protocol with the audience only consisting of performers, nominees, and their guests.

Gracing stage will be Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.

Almost all of the artists performing are also nominees and many will be making their Grammy performing debut including Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, DaBaby, Doja Cat, and Mickey Guyton.

According to the official announcement, “Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all.”

Nominations were announced last year and leading them is Dua Lipa with five including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Following her are Swift with four and Eilish and Beyoncé with three.

]]> This year’s Grammy Awards were scheduled to take place later this month, but we’ll have to wait for it a little bit longer. After careful consideration, the ceremony has been postponed until March due to coronavirus-related concerns.

In an official statement announcing that the ceremony has been rescheduled for March 14th, the Recording Academy representatives explained they felt this was the right thing to do because the health and safety of hundreds of people involved with this show come first.

“We want to thank all of the talented artists, the staff, our vendors, and especially this year’s nominees for their understanding, patience, and willingness to work with us as we navigate these unprecedented times,” reads the statement by the Recording Academy.

Before the postponement, the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were scheduled to take place on January 31st, with The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah serving as the host. Beyoncé topped the list of nominations with a total of nine nods, and she was closely followed by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, and Taylor Swift with six each.

]]> Billie Eilish gave us one of the most talked-about records of 2019 with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Grammy voters loved it so much that she ended up collecting five awards with her brother and songwriting partner Finneas.

Eilish became the first artist since 1981 to win the four major awards in the same year – record and song of the year with “Bad Guy”, album of the year with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and best new artist. She also collected the best pop vocal album trophy.

The Grammy Awards ceremony took place on January 26th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Alicia Keys hosted the event and paid homage to the late basketball player Kobe Bryant alongside Boyz II Men. Several performers at the ceremony, including Lil Nas X, Lizzo and DJ Khaled, also took a moment to pay tribute to the NBA legend.

]]> The Grammy Awards nominations are in and first-time nominees are leading the pack. Lizzo scored eight nominations, while Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X closely followed with six nods each.

The three newcomers will be going against each other in several major categories, including big three – album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year.

Lizzo is going to be competing with the deluxe edition of her latest album Cuz I Love You and breakout hit “Truth Hurts,” which ended up passing Grammys eligibility standards despite being released two years ago.

Billie Eilish secured her spot on nominees list with her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and chart-topping single “Bad Guy”. She’s sharing her success with her brother Finneas O’Connell, who scored five nominations at this year’s ceremony.

Lil Nas X is also competing in best album category with his EP 7, in addition to scoring several other nominations with his record-breaking debut single “Old Town Road” alongside Billy Ray Cyrus.

62nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26th, 2020 with Alicia Keys returning to host the ceremony.

]]> If you want something to celebrate, why not celebrate the fact that the number of female artists taking home Grammy Awards this year is up by 82%?

Last year, only 17 of 86 awards were given to women. CEO Neil Portnow suggested at the post-ceremony press conference that it was time for women to “step up.” This year, 31 women were presented with awards, demonstrating that more and more women are nurturing their musical talents and more importantly, that their talents are being recognized and celebrated.

Among the 31 women who won awards were Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Dua Lipa, and Kacey Musgraves. Kacey took home Album of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

Backstage at the event, Musgraves said: “I think that women have a really necessary perspective to art, to music and it’s really nice to see that getting a chance to be included.”

She continued: “I think it takes two to tango and I think it takes women having the balls to put out art that might not always be liked by everyone, but it also takes people on the other side of that to reach out and give those things a chance to be heard or seen.”
