April is shaping up to be a great month for new music, and this week has given us a long list of amazing new songs. Some of them made it to our list of the best songs of the week, starting with new tracks by Dua Lipa, Maggie Rogers, Girl in Red, and Tinashe.

Dua Lipa’s “Illusion” is definitely the week’s most talked-about new track, and it deserves all the attention coming its way. It’s the third single from her new album Radical Optimism, and it perfectly captures its nostalgic, Britpop-inspired sound.

This week also marked the release of Metro Boomin and Future’s second collaborative album We Still Don’t Trust You, and its title track made it to our list. Speaking of new albums, Maggie Rogers and Girl in Red made a comeback with their latest LPs this week and truly impressed us with their new sound.

It was a great week for female artists overall, and the songs that made the cut cover a wide range of different genres. Our weekly roundup of the hottest new songs is always one for the books, and our favorite artists truly outdid themselves this week. Everyone from Olivia Rodrigo and Hozier to Shakira and Cardi B has given us amazing new tracks, ranging from future chart-toppers to hidden gems.

This week marked the release of Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts (Spilled), the long-awaited deluxe edition of her latest studio album. This album gave us five amazing new songs, but “Obsessed” is shaping up to be another instant hit in Rodrigo’s impressive discography.

After having huge success for her single “I wanna be your girlfriend,” Norwegian indie-pop artist Marie Ulven, who goes by girl in red, is releasing her debut album, if i could make it quiet.

if i could make it quiet is an attempt to learn what it’s like to be human; to deal with the scariest parts of myself; to live with the pain of knowing I’m only flesh and bones; to be angry, broken, and unforgiving yet still able to wear my heart on my sleeve,” Ulven said in a statement about the forthcoming album.  

“I’m shedding light on the darkest parts of my mind and I’m letting everyone in. ‘If I Could Make It Go Quiet’ is me simply trying to understand what the f*** is going on.”

Ulven already shared “Rue” and “midnight love” from the album and she just released the single “Serotonin”, produced by Finneas as well as the album’s tracklist.

There’s nothing quite like discovering new songs that are about to become your new favorites, and our list of the best new songs of the week is bringing quite a few our way. Noah Kahan, Zara Larsson, Usher, and Kacey Musgraves are here to rock your world with their amazing brand-new songs.

Usher celebrated his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performance by dropping a brand-new album Coming Home. This record has given us several amazing new songs, including the title track featuring Burna Boy.

Zara Larsson finally shared her fourth studio album Venus, and teased its release with a new single “You Love Who You Love”. It was also a great week for a recent Grammy contender Noah Kahan, who gave us another extra track from his hit album Stick Season, titled “Forever”.

After having huge success for her single “I wanna be your girlfriend,” Norwegian indie-pop artist Marie Ulven, who goes by girl in red, is releasing her debut album, if i could make it quiet.

if i could make it quiet is an attempt to learn what it’s like to be human; to deal with the scariest parts of myself; to live with the pain of knowing I’m only flesh and bones; to be angry, broken, and unforgiving yet still able to wear my heart on my sleeve,” Ulven said in a statement about the forthcoming album.  

“I’m shedding light on the darkest parts of my mind and I’m letting everyone in. ‘If I Could Make It Go Quiet’ is me simply trying to understand what the f*** is going on.”

Ulven already shared “Rue” and “midnight love” from the album and she just released the single “Serotonin”, produced by Finneas as well as the album’s tracklist.
