This documentary was filmed over 60 days during his Long Live Montero Tour, and it will be divided into three acts: Rebirth, Transformation, and Becoming. In addition to seeing him tour the world, the first trailer shows the Grammy-winning rapper getting candid about his career and the struggles he faced as a queer Black man.

Lil Nas X shared the first trailer less than a week after dropping his comeback single “J Christ”, set to be featured on his upcoming second studio album.

This four-part documentary has been described as the definitive story of his rise to fame and stardom, and it will chronicle “all the ups, downs, and media scrutiny in between” that Williams faced over the course of the past three decades.

The four-part documentary hails from Joe Pearlman, the mastermind behind Netflix’s Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now. It will feature “hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archival footage, and intimate access to Williams himself”, according to Netflix’s official press release.

This documentary will premiere on Netflix on November 8, and its release date is meant to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Williams’ solo career. It will also chronicle the early days of his career with the boy band Take That before he found success as a solo artist.

This isn’t Williams’s first project that celebrates the 25th anniversary of his solo career. He also dropped a compilation album XXV which featured his greatest hits and embarked on a tour to promote its release.

His debut album Montero produced No. 1 singles “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and “Industry Baby” ft. Jack Harlow severed as the basis for his Long Live Montero Tour.

According to the streaming giant’s press release, Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now will capture “Capaldi’s defining year, struggling to balance the familiarity of home, normality and all he’s ever known, with life as one of the biggest stars on the planet, gleaning an intimate portrait of his unique character, hopes and fears in his own words.”

Capaldi’s rise to prominence started after he uploaded his first single “Bruises” to Spotify in 2017 and quickly became the fastest-ever unsigned artist to reach 25 million plays on the platform. He became a worldwide sensation thanks to his chart-topping single “Someone You Loved”, which reached no. 1 in both the UK and the US and earned him a Grammy nomination for song of the year.

Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now was directed by Joe Pearlman, and it will also see Capaldi working on his upcoming second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent. The documentary will arrive on Netflix on April 5, and Capaldi promoted its release by dressing up as characters from some of the most iconic Netflix shows.
