]]>Some of the week’s best new songs hail from newly released albums, starting with Hozier’s Unreal Unearth. Several of the songs from this LP were previously released as singles or featured on his EP Eat You Young, but the album itself gave us several amazing new songs, including “Damage Gets Done” ft. Brandi Carlile.
This week also marked the release of Reneé Rapp’s debut studio album Snow Angel, accompanied by the music video for “Pretty Girls”. Jon Batiste’s new album also made it to our list, and “Uneasy” ft. Lil Wayne is one of its most notable standouts.
When it comes to the viral hits for this week, Usher’s “Boyfriend” certainly created the most buzz online—mostly thanks to its Las Vegas-set music video starring Keke Palmer.
The rest of our list for this week features an interesting mix of different genres, including new music by Anitta, Charlie Puth, Thirty Seconds To Mars, The National, Jessie Reyez, and many more.

]]>Mayberry shared a 33-second preview of her first solo single, allowing her fans to pre-add or pre-save it ahead of its release on September 1. She can be heard singing, “Some feelings don’t fade away with space and time/ It’s a state of mind/ It’s just a state of mind,” over a soothing piano-led instrumental.
Mayberry said she’s “flip-flopping between excitement and abject terror” after teasing this side project. This announcement comes shortly after she shared an emotional post celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Chvrches’ debut studio album The Bones of What You Believe.
“For a long time, I couldn’t imagine ever doing anything outside of Chvrches… But as I sail/stumble through this era of my life (your 20s really do go by in a flash, kids), it has started to feel like there are things I want to write and say and do that need to be done on my own,” she wrote on Instagram last month.

]]>The extended play, which was recorded in Berlin’s Hansa Studios, will drop on 16th November. Chvrches die-hard fans will also have the opportunity to get a limited edition 10” vinyl of the EP on December 14th.
Hansa Studios is one of the most iconic music studios in Germany and place where David Bowie, Depeche Mode, U2, Iggy Pop and many other music superstars recorded their albums.
“It was really fun to try and reinterpret the songs and still communicate the messages and emotions with different arrangements,” – said the band’s frontwoman Lauren Mayberry about the project. “Once an album is out and you’re on the road, it’s harder to be creative so it’s exciting when those opportunities present themselves, and getting to make music in places like Hansa and Bad Robot is really a bucket list thing for all of us.”
You can check out the trailer and tracklist for Hansa Session below.
Tracklist:
1. “Graffiti”
2. “Miracle”
3. “Get Out”
