From chart-topping bangers to underground sensations, our list of the best songs of the week always has it all. We had a more challenging time than ever narrowing down our choices this week after everyone from Bad Bunny and Lana Del Rey to Beyoncé and Summer Walker gave us fresh new tracks.

This week marked the release of several highly-anticipated albums, and we made sure to include their best tracks on our list. Summer Walker rocked our world with Clear 2: Soft Life, while Kesha surprised us with some of her most personal and raw songs to date on Gag Order.

Beyoncé is currently in the middle of her headline-making Renaissance tour, but that didn’t stop her from dropping the remix of “America Has a Problem” with Kendrick Lamar.

We’ve also seen several artists tase their new albums by dropping brand-new songs, including Post Malone, Foo Fighters, and Blur. They all announced new LPs in the past few weeks and gave us a taste of things to come with new singles.

Several surprise releases also made it to our list, ranging from Bad Bunny’s “Where She Goes” to Lana Del Rey’s “Say Yes To Heaven”, so make sure to add them to your playlist!

Blur – “The Narcissist”

Summer Walker – “Pull Up”

Conan Gray – “Never Ending Song”

Kesha – “Only Love Can Save Us Now”

Lana Del Rey – “Say Yes To Heaven”

Beyoncé ft. Kendrick Lamar – “America Has a Problem”

Bad Bunny – “Where She Goes”

Post Malone – “Mourning”

Foo Fighters – “Under You”

It’s been eight years since Blur’s last album saw the light of day and they’re finally gearing up for an epic comeback. The British band announced the release of their upcoming album The Ballad of Darren and teased their new sound with the lead single “The Narcissist”.

Blur is currently busy touring around Europe, but they’ve been working on some new music before hitting the road. Their new album The Ballad of Darren will hit the shelves on July 21, and it will feature a total of 10 songs, including the lead single “The Narcissist”.

The band discussed their latest album at a recent press conference in Colchester, with bassist Alex James saying it was “utter joy” to record it. The title song “The Ballad of Darren” was 25 years in the making, but the rest of the album came together fairly quickly.

“I think the most amazing thing is we managed to write a record, rehearse it and put a tune out two weeks after finishing it. And then put an album out so close to the whole thing. That’s how I kind of dreamt it should always be. Sometimes I have to wait years,” said the band’s frontman Damon Albarn.

The Ballad of Darren marks Blur’s first album since The Magic Whip in 2015, which became their sixth UK number-one album.

Britpop icons Blur will make a return to the stage next year with a huge live show at London’s Webley Stadium. According to the official announcement released on Monday, the reunion gig will take place on July 8, 2023.

Blur will be joined by a number of special guests for the concert, including Northampton rapper Slowthai, EDM duo Jockstrap, and singer-songwriter Self Esteem.

“We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again,” said Blur’s frontman Damon Albarn.

It is unclear whether the Wembley show will be a one-off performance for Blur or if the band intends to go back on the road again.

“I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs… blur live shows are always amazing for me,” added guitarist Graham Coxon.

Blur is considered one of the most important bands in the Britpop era in the ’90s. The four-piece released seven studio albums, five of which went No. 1, between 1991 and 2003 before going on an indefinite hiatus. They had several reunions since then, with the most recent coming in 2015 when they released the critically acclaimed album The Magic Whip. The band took a break after wrapping up the promotional tour for the record.

The members of Blur have been recently active in their solo projects. Albarn is set to release a new album with Gorillaz in early 2023, while Coxon also has a new release coming with his side project The Waeve.

There is a strong possibility that the iconic British band Blur will get together again in the future. At least that’s what the group’s frontman Damon Albarn would like to see happening.

In a recent interview with MusicWeek, Albarn discussed several topics and was asked at one point whether Blur played its last live show together.

“I really hope not. I love doing those gigs, they’re great, but it’s not something I need to do,” said Albarn.

According to Albarn, he enjoys working with Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree, which is why he has every intention of getting back on stage with them.

“I only do it because there’s a joy in doing it. It’s an absolute treat. I can’t wait to sing “Parklife” again,” he added.

Albarn formed Blur in 1988, but the band had several long hiatuses since then. Their last reunion resulted in 2015’s album Magic Whip and subsequent tour. After that, the group members decided to focus on other projects.

The last time Blur were together on stage was in 2019 when Damon Albarn recruited Coxon, James, and Rowntree for his Africa Express show. The played “Clover Over Dover,” “Song 2,” and “Tender.”
