Finneas was credited as a co-writer on all of the tracks while also producing the record and playing all instruments. The album received critical acclaim while topping the charts in more than 20 countries, including US Billboard 200 and UK Album.

The sister-brother duo more recently collaborated on the song “What Was I Made For?,” which was part of the soundtrack for the hit movie Barbie. The song reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and No. 1 on UK Singles while being nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.

“I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for Covid,” she told Colbert. “That doesn’t mean it’s about Covid at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank Covid for that, and that’s about it.”

The “Bad Guy” singer kept most of the details secret. When asked what we could expect from the new album Eilish said, “There’s a couple of moments on this album where I pull some tricks out. It’s really just about what I feel like sounds good.”

It’s been almost two years since she released her last album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and since then she’s dropped “All I Ever Wanted”, “No Time to Die”, “My Future”, and a duet with Spanish singer Roslaia titled “Lo Vas Olvidar”.

Eilish also talked about her soon-to-be-released documentary, The World’s a Little Blurry, and James Bond.

The tour kicked off back in March, but Eilish only managed to play three shows before having to postpone the remainder of the dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The shows were supposed to be rescheduled for later dates, but it is still unclear when large-scale live shows could become possible again.

Eilish wrote that she “tried as many different scenarios for the tour as possible,” but none was feasible. In the end, the “Bad Guy” singer opted to scrap the tour altogether and “get the money back into your hands as soon as we can.”

Where Do We Go? was supposed to be Billie Eilish’s fifth concert tour in support of her debut release When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. The tour started in Miami on March 9th and would see Eilish play more than 50 shows across the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe, and Asia.

However, after the third show in Raleigh on March 12th, Eilish opted to stop with concerts due to the COVID-19 pandemic and postpone all North American dates. In May, she postponed the Europe and Asia dates, scheduled for summer and fall of 2020.

In the meantime, Eilish started working on her second studio album. In a recent interview with Variety, she revealed that she already has 16 new songs for the project.
