]]>Directed by Neal Farmer and produced by Evilgiane, this retro visual sees the West Coast duo goofing around by each other’s side. The video is filmed in the VHS style and it shows the two rappers hanging out on a private jet and shopping at a mall before heading to the Dodger Stadium with none other than Tyler, the Creator.
Baby Keem is Kendrick Lamar’s cousin and they joined forces on several occasions in the past. He was credited as songwriter and producer on Lamar’s project Black Panther: The Album, and they later recorded songs “Range Brothers” and the Grammy-winning “Family Ties” from Keem’s debut studio album The Melodic Blue.
“The Hillbillies” isn’t the first collaboration that Lamar released this month. He joined forces with Beyoncé for the remix of her song “America Has a Problem”. This surprise release marked their third collaboration following “Freedom” from Beyoncé’s album Lemonade and their 2019 Lion King Soundtrack song “Nile”.

]]>The rapper/producer made his first appearance on Billboard charts at No. 50 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Baby Keem, who’s real name is Hykeem Carter, is only 18-year-old and he co-wrote Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar’s “Nile,” which was part of The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack. “Nile” reached No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums back in August.
He also co-wrote and co-produced Zacari’s “Redemption Interlude” from the Black Panther soundtrack. Other credits the young rapper has to his name include writing for ScHoolboy Q’s Crash Talk album and Jay Rock’s Redemption.
On the top of the Emerging Artists chart is NLE Choppa with “Camelot” and it’s been the No. 1 song for 12 weeks.
