]]>Lavigne’s North American Greatest Hits Tour is set to cover the biggest hits from her entire discography, spanning over two decades. She dropped seven studio albums during that time, including the chart-toppers Under My Skin and The Best Damn Thing, and gave us hit songs “Complicated”, “Sk8er Boi”, “My Happy Ending”, “Girlfriend”, and “When You’re Gone”.
Lavigne will perform her “biggest songs to date” according to the tour’s official press release, and she won’t do it all alone. Simple Plan will also join her, after touring by her side during her very first tour, along with All Time Low, who’ve been friends of Lavigne’s for a while now and discussed the possibility of touring together for years before finally making it happen.
Royal & The Serpent and Girlfriends are also set to serve as Lavigne’s opening acts during her upcoming North American tour, set to kick off on May 22 in Vancouver, Canada. She’ll perform everywhere from Las Vegas and Nashville to Toronto and Chicago before the tour concludes in Edmonton, Canada on September 16.

Diddy also surprised us with his first album in years, The Love Album: Off the Grid, which features countless A-list collaborations. “Other One Of Me” was released as its latest single and it saw the iconic rapper join forces with The Weeknd, 21 Savage, and French Montana.
The rest of our list features an interesting mix of genres, ranging from hip-hop and EDM to pop and alternative rock. Drake’s collaboration with SZA, “Slime You Out”, is one of the week’s buzziest new releases, but our list also includes new music from Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Sia, Sufjan Stevens, and All Time Low.

She addressed the audience by saying, “I’m out here to make more bada– moments happen right now. Will y’all welcome my new bestie, Ms. Avril Lavigne to the stage?”, before the Canadian singer hit the stage.
The duo performed two songs by each other’s side: Lambert’s country rock single “Kerosene” and Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi”. The audience welcomed the transition between the two songs with cheers and sang along to one of Lavigne’s career-defining hits.
Lambert’s concert features several more surprise guests, including Elle King, who joined her to perform their hit duet “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” and Leon Bridges, who recently collaborated with Lambert on the new song “If You Were Mine”.
Lambert’s last studio album Palomino came out last year, and she’s been pretty busy since its release. Back in March, the country legend announced she was parting ways with her label Sony Music Nashville after almost two decades and she’s been busy performing and working on new music in the meantime.

According to Lavigne, this song is inspired by the feeling of being away from people they love—something both she and Yungblud can strongly relate to.
“We both tour and travel so much with our music careers. We def know what it’s like to miss our friends/fam bf/gf or whatever. The song is about being apart and missing someone,” she wrote on Twitter.
She also reflected on her time working with Yungblud and described him as “very funny and very talented”, adding they had “so much stupid fun” working on this track.
The deluxe edition of Love Sux will hit the shelves on November 25, and “I’m a Mess” succeeds two singles from the original album—”Bite Me”, and “Love It When You Hate Me”.

]]>To begin with, this was Lavigne’s first live show in her native Canada in over 5 years, following a prolonged break from playing live. The singer was diagnosed with Lyme Disease back in 2014, an illness that is very hard to treat and can take years to recover from.
One special moment in the show was recorded when a surprise guest, Michael Clifford of the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer joined her on stage to play “Sk8er Boi,” the beloved second single of her 2002 debut, Let Go.
But possibly the highlight of the evening was when Lavigne welcomed on stage her cousin Bernie who came escorted with a young woman. Bernie then proceeded to kneel before his companion with a ring in hand. Although the proposal itself was not captured on the amplifying system, she nodded and rushed to hug her chosen one.
“She said yes,” Avril announced with her arm in the air. “Welcome to the family,” she added and threw in a hug.
Truly a night to remember!

“It’s an honor any time – especially someone as talented and cool and creative as Billie – mentions that I’ve had an impact on their music career…. She’s an artist who is very much herself, and also extremely talented – and that’s why it’s working for her,” said Avril Lavigne.
The Pop Punk Queen also mentioned that she feels like there’s a lot that Eilish and herself have in common – they are both authentic, true to themselves and capable of standing their own ground. They both also managed to find enormous success with their debut albums, and Lavigne’s 2002 record Let Go is still one of the bestselling albums of the 21st century.
