The post Usher Delivers Epic Super Bowl Performance Alongside Alicia Keys & More Guests appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Usher was confirmed as a Super Bowl halftime show performer back in September and described this as an honor of a lifetime. Seth Dudowsky, NFL Head of Music, said they picked him to headline the show because he’s an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.
Usher came into the halftime show with high expectations and managed to live up to them. He opened the set with “My Way” and built up the hype with electrifying renditions of “Caught Up” and “U Don’t Have to Call”, before being joined by several guests.
Alicia Keys was the first to hit the stage, joining Usher for “If I Ain’t Got You” and “My Boo”. H.E.R. and will.i.am. followed in her footsteps, while Lil Jon and Ludacris helped Usher close the set with “Turn Down for What” and “Yeah!”
Super Bowl LVIII was held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, and the Kansas City Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy.

]]>The footage shared on social media shows Keys playing a black piano, previously donated by Elton John, and signing while being surrounded by a huge crowd. The performance came after her show at London’s O2 Arena on Monday as part of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.
Keys’ setlist for the train station concert also included hit tracks “If I Ain’t Got You” and “No One” alongside her most recent single, “Lifeline”.
Keys released her most recent album, Christmas-themed record Santa Baby, in late 2022. Since then, the singer engaged in several projects, including producing an off-Broadway musical, Hell’s Kitchen. The 42-year-old singer also recorded the previously mentioned single “Lifeline” for the musical comedy The Color Purple.
Alicia Keys is currently promoting the 20th anniversary re-release of her critically acclaimed second studio album, The Diary Of Alicia Keys. The project comes with 24 songs, including the original songs and remixes. It also includes the previously unreleased song “Golden Child”, which came from the singer’s private vault.

]]>Keys often described “If I Ain’t Got You” as one of her favorite songs, and she celebrated its 20th anniversary in the most magnificent way. She brought together over 70 female musicians of color, who hail everywhere from Germany and Sweden to South Africa and Egypt, to form Queen Charlotte’s Global Orchestra.
The orchestra was led by the conductor Ofentse Pitse, and they all put on Bridgerton-era costumes to give their performance an even more authentic feel.
“The entire idea was quite ambitious. I feel like it’s going to open the minds of many people to realize that women of color belong everywhere and we’ve always been everywhere. It’s magical… This is what our ancestors never experienced,” she told Billboard.
The soundtrack for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story also features classical music reinterpretations of such modern masterpieces as Beyoncé’s “Run the World” and “Halo, Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, and SZA’s recent single “Nobody Gets Me”.

]]>The Oscars isn’t exactly a music award show, but this list would be incomplete if we failed to mention this moving rendition of “Shallow” that immediately went viral.
This year’s Grammy Awards featured a series of pretty amazing moments, but none of them compares to seeing host Alicia Keys play on two pianos at once.
This list could easily consist of Lizzo’s live performances and nothing else, and no one would complain, but her amazing set at the MTV Video Music Awards made the biggest impact.
Taylor Swift received the Artist of the Decade award at this year’s AMAs and delivered an epic medley of her greatest hits that lasted over 10 minutes, and it really doesn’t get better than that.
The first live rendition of the chart-topping song “Señorita” wasn’t the most theatrical performance at MTV Video Music Awards, but it won us over with the pure emotion that the duo brought to the stage.

The slow-motion one-shot scenes are a visual representation of love’s enduring journey and feature Michael B. Jordan, Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Perego Saldana.
Alicia Keys also makes an appearance in one of the shots alongside Miguel, who’s featured on her latest single. She even made this visual sonic installation available from September 18th through September 22nd at Dolby SoHo to anyone who wants to experience its magic in person.
“I have been on this journey to be more vulnerable; in my life, in my music; and this new visual experience reflects this time. ‘Show Me Love’ displays different expressions of love, the journey of it, the push and pull, the struggle and the eventual joy and peace,” said Grammy-winning artist in a statement.

iHeartRadio Music Festival will bring the heat to Las Vegas on September 20th and 21st, and president of entertainment enterprises for iHeartMedia, John Sykes, is promising a weekend to remember.
“Each year we strive to live up to our reputation as the most diverse music festival in the world. This year we have the best in class from all genres of music performing indoors and out, all weekend long,” said Sykes in a statement.
What impressed us the most about this year’s line-up isn’t just the impressive number of A-list stars iHeartRadio managed to attract, but also the perfect mix of different genres.
Fans of pop, R&B, alternative and country music will all find something that fits their taste since the list of performers also includes French Montana, Mumford & Sons and Tim McGraw.
