50 Cent made a surprise appearance during a hip-hop extravaganza at the Super Bowl halftime show last year, which is regarded as one of the best in recent memory. Despite enjoying his time on stage, he admitted he has one major regret about his performance.

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar were in charge of headlining the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, while 50 Cent made a guest appearance alongside Anderson .Paak. He performed his smash hit “In Da Club” while suspended upside down from the ceiling, but he now feels this wasn’t really necessary.

50 Cents’ performance spawned many memes after the Super Bowl and the rapper welcomed them with open arms, but he still wishes he entered the stage differently.

“I think that was a mistake for the Super Bowl. Everybody else walked in regular, the songs still went over and they got the trophy, too. They all won an Emmy. They got the same thing I got and I had to put myself upside down,” he told USA Today.

The Super Bowl LVI halftime show was met with critical acclaim and it went on to receive three Emmys, including Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live).

Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent’s, iconic debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, is 20 years old. Stunning, we know. But don’t worry if you somehow forgot how good the record was; the Queens rapper is determined to remind you.

Jackson just announced his plans to celebrate the 20th-anniversary celebration of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a massive tour. Dubbed “The Final Lap,” the tour will see the rapper perform 64 shows across North America and Europe.

The initial 64 dates are just the beginning, as more shows are expected to be added soon in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

50 Cent will be joined by fellow New York City rapper Busta Rhymes on all shows, while singer and producer Jeremih will come along for the North American dates. The tour is scheduled to kick off on July 21 in Salt Lake City, with the last show currently being slated for November 12 in Birmingham, UK.

Produced by rap icons Dr. Dre and Eminem, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is considered one of the best rap albums of all time. It debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 charts and became the best-selling album in the US in 2003. It also received a nomination for Best Rap Album at the 46th Grammy Awards but lost to Outkast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

50 Cent received a long list of prestigious honors during his two-decade-long career, and he’s adding another one to his impressive resume – a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent received his star for special contributions to the recording industry on January 30th. Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, described him as “a man of many talents and star power” in the official statement announcing his induction.

50 Cent was joined by fellow rappers Eminem and Dr. Dre during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and thanked them both for being there to support him, not only at this moment but throughout his career.

“I don’t honestly think my career would’ve been what it was without their support. Dre’s a mentor for the whole squad, really, because he’s been doing it for long before that and was able to guide us in ways without even knowing that he’s doing it,” said the rapper in his speech.

50 Cent broke into the hip-hop scene with his chart-topping album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ from 2003 and dropped several hit records since. His sixth studio album Street King Immortal is on the way, but it still doesn’t have an official release date.

Imagine getting to hear Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre live on the same night, at the same show. While it may sound nothing more than every rap fan’s wet dream now, it turns out that this scenario was close to being a reality at one point.

50 Cent recently did an interview with Big Boy in which he discussed various topics including the final season of his TV show Power, his plans for the future and revealed some interesting bits from his past. One of those bits was that he, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre were supposed to do a huge joint tour several years ago.

According to 50, everyone was on board, but Eminem decided to turn down the opportunity, wanting to spend more time with his daughter Hailie.

“We could’ve gone on tour. Me, Em, [Dr. Dre], [Snoop Dogg],” 50 Cent told Big Boy while discussing his relationship with Eminem. “You do not believe how much money we would’ve made. And Em was like—there was so many dates at the time that we laid it out—that he was like, ‘I just don’t want to go on tour and come back and Hailie’s grown.'”

You can watch the entire interview below. You’ll find the part about the tour around 30 minutes mark.

Besides working on numerous projects and business ventures, 50 Cent is also preparing a new studio album titled Street King Immortal. The record, which will be his first since 2014’s Animal Ambition, has been in works several years now but the release date is yet to be revealed.

Legendary hip-hop icon 50 Cent has never been shy about sharing his opinion – even when it comes to the work of his close friends and peers.

The most recent subject of the rapper’s musings has been Jay-Z’s recent album 4:44, which quickly amassed praise from critics and fans alike following its surprise release last summer.

While far from family-friendly, 50 Cent’s unofficial review of the record generally appeared to agree with its positive reception.

“I listened to that 4:44. I thought it was alright. I liked the s***,” begins 50. “But I’mma keep it a hundred, [the album] was a little too smart. I felt like I was supposed to be wearing like, glasses and tie like a sweater around my waist. It was like Ivy League s***.”

Say what you will, 50 Cent certainly does have a way with words.

The rapper-turned-entrepreneur also went on to discuss the relationship between up-and-coming hip-hop stars and more established acts, such as himself and Jay.

“You can’t be the best rapper at 47 because the new [rappers] are here. They coming with new s*** going on,” he said, humbly advocating for older acts to leave room for newcomers.
