Rapper 21 Savage is at the top of the US Billboard 200 charts once again. Savage’s third-studio album, American Dream, which came out on January 12, scored No. 1 by selling 133,000 equivalent album units in the United States.

This was the fourth time that 21 Savage made it to the top of the US Billboard 200 charts. He topped the charts with his 2018 record I Am > I Was, before repeating the feat with the Metro Boomin collaboration album Savage Mode II in 2020 and Drake team-up record Her Loss in 2022.

Additionally, American Dream marks Savage’s most-stream record throughout the first week of its release. The tracks from the album were streamed a total of 169.53 million times, surpassing 151.87 million of I Am > I Was.

American Dream, which features guest appearances from the likes of Doja Cat, Lil Durk, and Travis Scott, didn’t receive much promotion, being announced just three days before it dropped. Still, it is proving to be a commercial success, topping charts in five other countries while also reaching No. 2 on the UK Albums charts. The release also received positive reviews from the critics, who praised the album’s “intimate” feel and production.

The Grammy-winning rapper 21 Savage will take the stage at Reading on Sunday and at Leeds on Friday. His last studio album Her Loss was a collaborative effort with Drake, and the duo’s co-headlining It’s All A Blur Tour made history as the highest-grossing rap tour of all time.

The Prodigy and Smith will both perform at Reading on Friday and at Leeds on Saturday. The EDM band The Prodigy hasn’t released a new album since No Tourists in 2018, but that’s not stopping them from being a music festival sensation. Rappers Drake and 21 Savage’s collaboration album Her Loss has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, ending the reign of Taylor Swift’s Midnights at the top. Swift’s newest release previously held the position for two straight weeks.

Her Loss is the 12th No. 1 album for Drake, moving him into the top three of all time. The only music acts with more chart-topping releases are Jay Z with 14 and The Beatles with 19. On the other hand, this is the third No. 1 record for 21 Savage.

According to Billboard, Her Loss had 404,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week. As expected, streaming played a big part in the strong performance of the record, with its 16 tracks receiving 513.56 million on-demand streams. The performance marked the fourth-largest streaming week of all time for a music release.

Drake and 21 Savage have a history of collaborating together, appearing on each other’s songs on multiple occasions in the past. The duo announced Her Loss on October 21st with plans to release the album seven days later. However, unforeseen circumstances delayed the release until November 4th. While the record was met with a positive response from the audience, the critics had mixed feelings about it.
