The first week of March has been pretty great for new music releases, and it’s given us several songs we’ll be listening to all year long. From Lady Gaga and Bishop Briggs to Jennie and Dua Lipa, many of our favorite artists rocked our world with amazing new tracks this week.

After a lot of anticipation, Lady Gaga’s long-awaited album Mayhem finally hit the shelves this Friday – and it was worth the wait! It marks an epic return to form for the singer who never feared to experiment with different genres and styles, and we singled out “Garden of Eden” as one of its best new songs.

Speaking of new albums, Jennie is the latest member of Blackpink to share her solo album Ruby with the world, and  “Handlebars” ft. Dua Lipa is its buzziest new song. The indie rock singer Sasami also impressed us with her new LP Blood on the Silver Screen and made it to our list with “I’ll Be Gone”.

We’ve chosen to showcase many other amazing female artists on our list this week in celebration of International Women’s Day. Bishop Briggs has given us the defining girl power anthem of the week with her new song “Woman Is King” – and that’s just the beginning!

Check out the rest of our list to discover new music by the likes of Doechii, The Ophelias, and Rachel Chinouriri.

This week also marked the release of Mac Miller’s second posthumous album Balloonerism, which was originally recorded back in 2014. “Funny Papers” emerged as our favorite song, but this record also produced collaborations with SZA and Delusional Thomas.

Check out the rest of our list of the best songs of the week to discover new music by Perfume Genius, Samia, Banks, John Summit, Cloves, NLE Choppa, Imagine Dragons, Ela Minus, and The Weather Station.

We’ve reached that time of the year when our favorite artists are getting ready for the holidays and pumping the brakes on new music releases. Luckily, even the slowest periods can birth some pretty amazing new tracks, and this week has given us new music by the likes of Julien Baker, Fred Again, and Stray Kids.

It has also been a pretty great week for the English DJ and producer Fred Again, who released his new EP Two More Days. This is his second major release of 2024, following the success of his fourth studio album Ten Days, and it features two new songs, including “Light Dark Light” ft. Angie McMahon.

The rest of our list for this week mainly consists of indie artists, and it will probably introduce you to many new names. Julien Baker is one of the rare major stars to make the cut, with the Torres collaboration “Sugar in the Tank”, along with Olly Alexander with his new song “Archangel”.

Every once in a while, we get a week where every new song we hear is a total banger, and this one is a case in point. From The Weeknd and Anitta to The Cure and Ethel Cain, all our favorite artists absolutely smashed it with brand-new tracks they shared with the world this week.

This Friday marked the release of several great albums, and The Cure’s Songs of a Lost World is the best of them all. It produced two singles between hitting the shelves, but the remaining six songs are equally amazing, and we’re singling out “All I Ever Am” as an early favorite.

Tyler, the Creator made an unconventional decision and dropped his new album Chromakopia on Monday, instead of waiting until Friday. He made a splash with several songs from this record, including “Darling, I” ft. Teezo Touchdown.

When it comes to new singles released this week, none created more than The Weeknd’s latest. He tapped Anitta to appear in the eerie music video for “São Paulo”, the third single from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

The rest of our list of the best songs of the week includes something for everyone, so check it out to discover new music by Shawn Mendes, Ethel Cain, LCD Soundsystem, Snoop Dogg, and many more.

The Weeknd – “São Paulo” feat. Anitta

The Cure – “All I Ever Am”

Tyler, the Creator – “Darling, I” ft. Teezo Touchdown

Shawn Mendes – “Heart of Gold”

LCD Soundsystem – “X-Ray Eyes”

Ethel Cain – “Punish”

Snoop Dogg – “Gorgeous” ft. Jhené Aiko

Haley Heynderickx – “Mouth of a Flower”

Allie X – “Our Lady of Sorrow”

Lola Young – “Charlie” ft. Lil Yachty

Our favorite artists bring amazing new songs our way each and every week, but they’ve truly been working overtime in the past few days. Our list of the best songs of the week is a true embarrassment of riches this time around, and it includes everyone from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars to Lisa and Rosalía.

Two of the buzziest new songs this week saw our favorite artists join forces. Lady Gaga found a perfect partner in crime in Bruno Mars and rocked our world with their collaboration “Die with a Smile”, while Lisa and Rosalía joined forces for a sleek and confident girl power anthem “New Woman”.

When it comes to new albums released this week, Post Malone finally shared his country-leaning new LP F-1 Trillion. This record produced many hit collaborations even before hitting the shelves, and “Have The Heart” ft. Dolly Parton is among the album’s best.

The indie pop band Foster the People returned with a new album Paradise State of Mind, and impressed us with the new song “See You in the Afterlife”, while Hozier’s new EP Unaired has given us three new songs, including “Nobody’s Soldier”.

Halsey also created a lot of buzz with her new single “Lonely is the Muse”, and managed to make it to our list alongside The Blessed Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Bishop Briggs, Benson Boone, and Coco Jones.

We’re just a few weeks into 2025, and it’s already shaping up to be an epic year for music. Our list of the best new songs of the week is an embarrassment of riches, and it includes epic new tracks by Mac Miller, Lucy Dacus, Mumford & Sons, and Perfume Genius.

Boygenius singer Lucy Dacus announced her solo comeback earlier this week, and teased her upcoming album Forever is a Feeling with the lead single “Ankles”. The magical music video for this song feels like a fever dream and stars the Bottoms actress Havana Rose Liu.

Speaking of comebacks, Mumford & Sons are gearing up for the release of their first album in seven years. Rushmere will hit the shelves on March 28, and they’ve given us a taste of things to come with the lead single of the same name.

Mac Miller – “Funny Papers”

Lucy Dacus – “Ankles”

Perfume Genius – “It’s a Mirror”

Mumford & Sons – “Rushmere”

We’ve reached that time of the year when our favorite artists are getting ready for the holidays and pumping the brakes on new music releases. Luckily, even the slowest periods can birth some pretty amazing new tracks, and this week has given us new music by the likes of Julien Baker, Fred Again, and Stray Kids.

This week has been pretty slow for new album releases in the US, but our favorite K-pop artists have been pretty busy. The boy band Stray Kids returned with another mixtape Hop, which produced 12 brand-new songs, including the lead single “Walkin on Water”.

Check out the rest of our list to discover new music by Benjamin Booker, Oracle Sisters, Clara La San, SAINt JHN, Banks, and Horsegirl.

Taylor Swift came into this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards as the top contender, and she lived up to the hype. She was nominated for seven awards and managed to come out victorious in four categories, including the best video of the year with “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone.

Swift defeated tough competition in the likes of Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Charli XCX to win the video of the year award with “Fortnight”. She was also named the best artist, in addition to winning awards for the best live performance and the best US act.

Despite being the night’s biggest winner, Swift lost the best collaboration award to Lisa and Rosalía. They won the trophy with their duet ”New Woman”, beating the likes of Charli XCX and Billie Eilish (“Guess”) and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars (“Die with a Smile”).

The MTV EMAs’ coveted best song award went to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”. She defeated Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”, Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things”, Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em”, Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather”, and Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” to take the trophy home.

Jhené Aiko

This September has given us many great new songs—and they’ll just keep on coming! This week marked the release of some amazing new tracks by Bon Iver, Bad Bunny, and Kelsea Ballerini, so check out our list of the best songs of the week to see if your favorite artists made the cut.

We can count on music’s biggest stars to drop great new albums on Friday, and they’ve certainly delivered this week. Future’s Mixtape Pluto is poised to make the biggest splash on the charts along with its new single “Too Fast”, but Jamie xx’s In Waves is our personal favorite, especially after giving us the amazing new collaboration “Waited All Night” ft. Romy and Oliver Sim.

Bon Iver are setting the stage for their new EP Sables, and they’ve given us a new single “Speyside” as part of their promo for this record. Speaking of EPs worth keeping an eye on, Alemeda is a rising star worth watching, and you’ll be obsessed with her new song “I Already Dug Your Grave”.

This week also marked the return of Bad Bunny with “Una Velita”, while Gwen Stefani teased her new album Bouqet with “Somebody Else’s”. The rest of our list includes new songs by the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, All Time Low, and Father John Misty, so stick around to check them out.

Lisa – “New Woman” feat. Rosalía

Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars – “Die With A Smile”

Hozier – “Nobody’s Soldier”

Halsey – “Lonely is the Muse”

Post Malone – “Have The Heart” ft. Dolly Parton

Empire of the Sun, Muni Long, Jorja Smith, Kacey Musgraves, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds also made it to our list so stick around to discover their new songs.
