]]>This Friday marked the release of several great albums, and The Cure’s Songs of a Lost World is the best of them all. It produced two singles between hitting the shelves, but the remaining six songs are equally amazing, and we’re singling out “All I Ever Am” as an early favorite.
Tyler, the Creator made an unconventional decision and dropped his new album Chromakopia on Monday, instead of waiting until Friday. He made a splash with several songs from this record, including “Darling, I” ft. Teezo Touchdown.
When it comes to new singles released this week, none created more than The Weeknd’s latest. He tapped Anitta to appear in the eerie music video for “São Paulo”, the third single from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Lady Gaga isn’t the only major star to drop a major single from her next studio album this week. Tyler, the Creator teased Chromakopia with the music video for “Noid”, while Alessia Cara announced the release of her upcoming album Love & Hyperbole with “(Isn’t It) Obvious”.
This week also marked the release of several highly-anticipated albums, starting with Halsey’s long-awaited The Great Impersonator. The songs on this album are a love letter to artists who inspired her over the years, including “Panic Attack”, which sees her paying homage to Stevie Nicks.

]]>“Noid” sees the rapper exploring his paranoia about being a public figure and feeling like he’s constantly under the microscope. The music video opens with him trying to make his way through a huge crowd of people before coming face to face with a crazed fan, played by the Emmy-winning actress Ayo Edebiri.
“Feel it in my aura, living between cameras and recorders,” he raps while feeling that his privacy is under constant threat. He sees danger at every turn, hallucinating being tailed on the road and being robbed in his own home, while surrounded by his loved ones.
“Noid” serves as the lead single from Tyler, the Creator’s upcoming eighth studio album Chromakopia, which will be released on October 28 via Columbia Records. It samples the song “Nizakupanga Ngzo” by the Zambian band Ngozi Family and features a snippet of the lead singer Paul Ngozi singing in his native Nyanja language.
Tyler, the Creator will celebrate the release of Chromakopia by embarking on a world tour taking place throughout 2025 in North America, Europe, and Oceania.

]]>Tyler, The Creator was supposed to headline the first night of Chicago’s Lollapalooza with Hozier, but he had to cancel his appearance. He’s also no longer a part of San Francisco’s Outside Lands, where he was supposed to headline alongside The Killers, Sturgill Simpson, and The Postal Service.
He took to social media to announce his exit from both festivals and apologized to his fans for the inconvenience.
“I hate saying this but I have to cancel Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. That is not se-y at all. Please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. Love,” he wrote on social media.
Megan Thee Stallion will replace him as the Lollapalooza headliner, which will be taking place from August 1-4 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Sabrina Carpenter will step in for him at Outside Lands, which will be held from August 9-11 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

]]>This year’s headliners all had the pleasure of performing at Coachella in the past, and they’ll finally return as the main event! Doja Cat’s performance is the freshest in our memory, since she hit the stage in 2022, and brought out several guests, including Rico Nasty and Tyga.
The rest of the lineup is equally impressive, and it includes the likes of Ice Spice, Sublime, Grimes, Lil Uzi Vert, J Balvin, Peso Pluma, Reneé Rapp, Jhené Aiko, Victoria Monét, Deftones, Bizarrap, Bleachers, Bebe Rexha, Coi Leray, and Lil Yachty.
The upcoming Coachella will also mark the long-teased reunion of the ’90s pop-rock icons No Doubt. Gwen Stefani and the rest of the band went on their second hiatus in 2015, but they’ve been teasing their reunion for a while—and they finally made things official!
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will return to the desert over two weekends this spring, and it’s set to take place from April 12-14 and April 19-21.

]]>Tyler, The Creator shared his feelings about posthumous albums during a recent intimate show in Los Angeles before playing the unreleased song “Penny”. He explained he’d rather share his unreleased music now than have it released posthumously when he has no control over it.
“Some of these are so good I can’t just let them sit on my hard drive. Because I have in my will that if I die, they can’t put no fucking [posthumous] album out,” he explained.
Tyler, The Creator also called posthumous albums “gross” because they consist of half-baked ideas and random features with artists that he most likely wasn’t even on good terms with.
The Grammy-winning rapper isn’t the first artist to speak against posthumous releases of his music. Anderson .Paak famously got the tattoo that reads, “When I’m gone, please don’t release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached. Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public” in 2021, and Lana Del Rey echoed his sentiment a few days later on Instagram.
