Ozzy Osbourne’s new album is only a month away, and he’s giving us a lot to be excited about. The rocker’s new record will feature collaborations with Elton John, Post Malone, Slash, and Tom Morello, but how did they all agree to help him out?

Turns out it didn’t take a lot of convincing, since they all happen to be close friends, and when Osbourne asked them to be on his next record, they wanted to jump right in.

“Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing ‘Ordinary Man,’ it reminded me of an old Elton song and I said to Sharon, ‘I wonder if he would sing on it?’ We asked and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and plays piano on the song,” said the Black Sabbath singer.

Osbourne’s new album Ordinary Man will be his first solo record in ten years, and it’s scheduled to come out on February 21st. A single of the same name features an appearance from Elton John, and it was released on Friday.

Fans of Prophets of Rage in Athens, Greece got a real treat during the band’s show this week when they performed Audioslave’s Cochise honoring the late singer Chris Cornell. The gesture is not surprising considering that Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk comprised Audioslave along with Cornell.

This is not the first time the band, which also includes rappers Chuck D and B-Real, is performing in this fashion in remembrance of their late band members who took his own life in 2017. The band invited Serj Tankian of System of a Down to the stage at Sonic Temple Music + Arts Festival earlier this year to play Like a stone.

“If you know the words, sing along, because you’re his voice now,” Morello told the crowd before kicking off the song. “If you don’t know the words, just rock the f**k out in his memory.”

Later Morello addressed the concert on Instagram comparing the concert to one made by Rage Against the Machine, which according to him had a very memorable crowd. “Tonight’s Prophets of Rage crowd might have topped it. The crazy bonfires, the militant comrades, the stunning aftershow view and the emotional Chris Cornell ‘Cochise’ tribute with spotlight on empty mic were highlights for me.”
