]]>EDC established itself as the largest electronic dance music festival in North America in the last ten years, and it’s a brainchild of Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of the electronic music event promotion company, Insomniac.
“EDC Las Vegas 2020 is the culmination of a decade’s worth of imagination and collaboration, and we wanted to celebrate those achievements with a lineup that represents the musical diversity of this amazing culture,” said Rotella in a statement, announcing this event.
EDC 2020 will take place during a three-day weekend between May 15-17 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In addition to the headliners, the lineup also features DJ Snake, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, Martin Garrix, and around 250 other dance and electronic artists.

]]>After an impressive six consecutive years’ reign, The Chainsmokers have dethroned Harris as the world’s highest-paid artist in the category.
The Chainsmokers duo, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, claimed the No. 1 spot with $46 million over the past 12 months. Harris dropped to No. 3 with $38.5 million, behind the masked DJ Marshmello, who earned $40 million, which secured him the No. 2 spot. Rounding out the top 5 are Steve Aoki and Diplo, with $30 million and $25 million respectively.
The Chainsmokers are known for their high-profile collaborations with artists such as Coldplay and Halsey. While the duo hasn’t released an album since April 2017, they did, drop five singles so far this year.
“We work with artists because it makes sense [and] because we’re excited about them,” Pall told Forbes in 2017. “Anytime we work with someone, it’s because they offer something to us creatively that inspires us.”

]]>“This year, get ready for a BRAND NEW immersive experience at #Ultra2019 featuring extended sets, later hours, expanded festival grounds and top-tiered DJs & live performances” – wrote the organizers in a post revealing the Ultra Music Festival Miami 2019 lineup.
Besides the previously mentioned headliners, the list of artists revealed in the festival’s official phase 1 lineup announcement also has Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, and Deadmau5, who will have two sets: one as a live headliner and other under his techno alter ego test pilot. Louis The Child, GRiZ, Galantis, Illenium, and ODESZA joined as live headliners as well.
More performers for Ultra Music Festival Miami 2019, which is scheduled to take place between March 29th and March 31st, will be announced in the future. The next year’s edition of festival relocating from Downtown Miami for the first time in 18 years and heading to Virginia Key Historic Beach Park.

]]>Popular Dutch producer Fedde Le Grand was the first one to get his hands onto “Side Effects” giving it house jam, while The Magician decided to play with bass a bit. Besides Le Grand and The Magician, Barkley, Sly, and Nolan Van also had a go at it.

“Side Effects” is part of The Chainsmokers’ new extended play Sick Boy, which was released on April 20th, 2018. The EP peaked at number 83 on US Billboard 200 while reaching number 20 in Canada. On the US Dance charts, it reached number three.
Two more EPs from The Chainsmokers are in the works, and together with Sick Boy, should make the duo’s second studio album. There is no info about the release date for either of the upcoming EPs, but something tells us that the forthcoming tracks will drop really out of the blue, so be prepared.
