Jack Antonoff was in charge of curating the soundtrack for the Apple TV+ series The New Look, and he did a fantastic job. The star-studded tracklist is in, and it includes some of the world’s top artists, from Lana Del Rey to Florence + the Machine.

Antonoff took to Instagram to announce The New Look soundtrack, which marks the first release from his new label Shadow of the City, an imprint of Dirty Hit. He said that he “loved every minute of re-making these wartime songs with some of [his] favorite artists” before sharing the full tracklist with the world.

“White Cliffs of Dover” by Florence + The Machine will be released as the soundtrack’s first song on January 31, ahead of The New Look premiere on February 15. This series is set in the competitive fashion world of World War II Paris and chronicles the rivalry between Christian Dior and Coco Chanel.

The star-studded soundtrack will also feature contributions from Antonoff’s frequent collaborator Lana Del Rey, plus The 1975, Beabadoobee, Nick Cave, and Perfume Genius. Antonoff’s own band Bleachers will also appear on the soundtrack, and they’re currently gearing up for the release of their fourth self-titled studio album, set to hit the shelves on March 8.

The 1975 are currently busy with their Still… At Their Very Best tour, but it will take a while before we see them live after this run of shows ends. Frontman Matty Healy revealed they’re planning to take an “indefinite hiatus” from touring during a recent concert.

Healy addressed the audience while performing at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, and revealed they’re not going to do live shows for a while after concluding their current tour.

“We love coming to this place and playing for you guys whenever we have the chance, and it’s wonderful you’re all here. After this tour we will be going on an indefinite hiatus of shows so it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight,” said Healy.

The British indie pop band kicked off Still… At Their Very Best tour earlier this month, in support of their album Being Funny in a Foreign Language from last year. Their touring schedule is pretty grueling, and they’re expected to do 33 shows across North America this fall, before heading to Europe for a run of 27 dates in February and March next year.

The 1975’s current tour marks the follow-up to their At Their Very Best tour, and it’s meant to chronicle their growth as a band over the course of the past decade.

The 1975 will be pretty busy touring all around Europe this summer, but they’re getting ready to head across the pond in just a few months. The British indie band announced the dates of their Still… At Their Very Best Tour, taking place across North America this fall.

The 1975 shared the exciting news via the latest video in their ongoing A Theatrical Performance Of An Intimate Moment series on YouTube. The quirky video shows the band’s frontman Matty Healy going through his morning routine before heading to the lab to do some experiments.

The 1975 will kick off the North American leg of their tour with a concert at Sacramento, CA on September 26, after touring across Europe all summer long. They’ll stay on the road throughout October and November, before wrapping things up in Seattle, WA on December 2. The notable stops on the tour include New York’s Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The 1975’s ongoing tour supports their latest album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, which came out last year. It debuted at no. 1 in the UK and produced singles “Part of the Band”, “Happiness”, “I’m in Love with You”, and “All I Need to Hear”.

Lollapalooza is one of the most highly-anticipated music festivals of the summer, and this year’s edition will be worth waiting for. The massive lineup for Lollapalooza 2023 has been unveiled, and it includes the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and The 1975.

Lollapalooza is returning to Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois from August 3-6, and its lineup is as epic as it gets. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Odesza, Tomorrow X Together, and Karol G are also among the headliners – and some of them are quite historic.

Karol G is the first female Latin artist to headline the festival, shortly after becoming the first woman to top the Billboard 200 chart with an all-Spanish album with Mañana Será Bonito. Tomorrow X Together (TXT) will also make history as the first K-pop group to headline the festival.

The rest of the lineup is also pretty impressive, and it includes a total of around 170 artists, such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Rina Sawayama, Pusha T, Lil Yachty, 30 Seconds To Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Gorgon City, Alex G, Diplo, Joey Bada$$, NewJeans, Maggie Rogers, and many more.

Lollapalooza became one of the largest and most iconic music festivals in the United States over the course of the past three decades, and there are now several international versions in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Sweden, and France.

The 1975 are dropping their fifth studio album this October and they’re doing a pretty good job teasing its release. The English band dropped a music video for their latest single “Happiness” and announced they’ll support their new album with a North American tour.

“Happiness” serves as the second single from the group’s upcoming studio album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, set to be released on October 14. It was preceded by the lead single “Part of the Band” in early July.

Frontman Matty Healy discussed this single with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and said that the whole thing came together organically and with as little technology as possible.

“It came through like jamming, and we haven’t done that in like years. So we just wanted this record to be really like a captured moment and not be too constructed and even produced that much. We did it in like a day or so, and it’s us having fun,” explained Healy.

In addition to dropping a new single, the 1975 also announced they’ll embark on the “At Their Very Best” tour across North America in November. The tour will kick off with a performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT and they’re expected to stay on the road until December 17 and finish things up with a concert at Pittsburgh’s UPMC Events Center.

The 1975 have been teasing their fifth studio album for quite some time, and they finally gave us a taste of things to come. Shortly after revealing the album’s release date and full tracklist, they dropped a music video for the lead single “Part of the Band”.

This song will be featured on the group’s upcoming fifth studio album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, set to hit the shelves on October 14 via Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. They started teasing it with a series of billboards across London, and decided to take a similar approach with the lead single “Part of the Band”.

Before officially sharing this song with the world, its lyrics were revealed through a series of black and white billboards—starting with “She was part of the air force / I was part of the band.” This will be one of 11 songs featured on Being Funny in a Foreign Language, and the track listing was revealed to fans through postcards, together with the album title.

“The Part of the Band” was produced by Jack Antonoff, and it features Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast. Matty Healy revealed it arose when he tried to write a bridge for the song “New York”, which he performed while supporting Phoebe Bridgers in 2021.

It’s been a while since The 1975 surprised us with some new music, but it seems they’re finally gearing up for a comeback. The British indie band teased a new album and new era on social media, singling out July 7 as a significant date.

This announcement comes shortly after cryptic posters featuring frontman Matty Healy started popping up across London. They hinted at the band’s return on July 7, and the band finally confirmed they’re working on some new music by sharing a social media post captioned with the words, “Your new album. Your new era. Your old friends. The 1975.”

This announcement doesn’t come as a shocker for the band’s die-hard fans. In a statement canceling their “Notes On A Conditional Form” tour last year due to the pandemic restrictions, the band said they’re currently making a new album and looking forward to seeing their fans at their shows as soon as it’s safe to do so.

The band’s last album Notes on a Conditional Form came out in 2020 and became their fourth record to top the charts in the UK, in addition to making it to the top five in the US. Following its release, the band collaborated with Charli XCX on the song “Spinning”.

After sharing their debut single “Spinning” earlier this month, Charli XCX, The 1975’s Matt Healy, and No Rome have shared an animated video for the single.

The video, created by Japanese artist Hideyuki Tanaka and designer Samuel Burgess-Johnson, is an animated journey to space set to a dance pop track with amazing visuals. According to Rome it’s “a video inspired by the art that inspires me.”

In the video, No Rome slips into a puddle that takes him to a different universe where he, Charli XCX, and Healy, go through deep-sea submarines and flora around in space.

Charli tweeted about her bandmates after the supergroup was formed calling them “so talented” and saying, “It’s honestly so cool to have this song with them, I feel like we all speak the same musical language in someway [sic], and that language is stunning/exquisite/tasteful and chic.”

Charli XCX broke some big news on social media on Sunday. The “Vroom Vroom” singer wrote on Twitter that she is forming a supergroup with pop-rockers The 1975 and musician No Rome.

Charli XCX’s post follows several speculations and teases about the possible collaboration between the artists.

Back in 2019, The 1975’s frontman Matt Healy shared on Instagram that he sent Charli XCX “a beat,” and the signer returned “a monster tune” the next morning. Charli then confirmed she has teamed up with Healy in an interview with NME, saying that the two “sent some ideas back and forth.”

The collab looked like it went cold until earlier this year when Healy told his followers on Instagram that he is working on new music, including a song with Charli XCX.

No Rome revealed he is part of the project in February, writing on Twitter that the trio already has a track in-store and that it’s “coming out sooner than u think.”

Further details about the release are yet to be revealed.

Most recently, Charli XCX’s appeared as a guest on ELIO’s single “CHARGER.” She presented her latest studio album, How I’m Feeling Now, last year.

The 1975 have been reportedly working on a new album in recent months. The record would follow the 2020’s critically acclaimed Notes on a Conditional Form.

No Rome shared several songs lately, teaming up with various artists. This includes “Hurry Home” with beabadoobee & Jay Som and “1:45AM,” which featured American hip-hop artist Bearface.

There’s always a lot of buzz surrounding Glastonbury performers, but The 1975 won’t be among them this time around. The British band announced the dates for their upcoming tour and it turns out that this legendary festival didn’t make the cut.

The 1975 celebrated the release of their new single “Me & You Together Song” by announcing their upcoming North American tour. They’ll kick things off with a concert in Houston on April 27th, three days after their new album Notes on a Conditional Form comes out.

The band’s frontman Matt Healy appeared on Matt Wilkinson’s Beats 1 radio show to promote the new single, and took a moment to discuss the possibility of playing at Glastonbury this year.

“No, we’re not going to headline, but Glastonbury is exciting this year. I know a lot about it.… I’ve heard amazing stories and amazing things, and I am going to go as a punter. It’s going to be wicked,” said Healy and added he wouldn’t mind getting on stage and doing a little acoustic set with Stone Temple Pilots.
