]]>It’s only been a few days since Lady Gaga teased the release of Lady Gaga, a companion album to her new movie Joker: Folie à Deux. She recorded several original songs to set the stage for this project, including “Happy Mistake”.
Speaking of new albums, The Weeknd is teasing the newly-announced Hurry Up Tomorrow. After sharing the first single “Dancing in the Flames” earlier this month, he dropped the Playboi Carti collaboration “Timeless” just two weeks later.
This week has been pretty great for female vocalists overall, and Lady Gaga’s new album is just a drop in the ocean. Rock legend Stevie Nicks returned with “The Lighthouse”, Nina Nesbitt released “Parachute” from her new album Mountain Music, while Jade continued teasing her debut solo album with “Midnight Cowboy”.
Our favorite Latin singers have also been pretty busy – Rosalía rocked our world with “Omega” ft. Ralphie Choo, while Shakira gave us another catchy bop to dance to with “Soltera”.
Linkin Park, Kygo, Imagine Dragons, Damiano David, and Labrinth also made it to our list, so check it out to discover some new music.

]]>Recorded alongside the punk rock legend Billy Idol, this song will make you feel like you’ve returned back to the 80s and you’ll want to put on a leather jacket and drive into the night after hearing it.
Included on the digital edition of Cyrus’ new album, this mash-up of “Midnight Sky” and Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen” is truly the best of both worlds.
Plastic Heart draws very obvious inspiration from Cyrus’ favorite punk-rock singers from the 70s and 80s, and it’s truly amazing to hear The Runaways leader Joan Jett singing by her side.
The collaboration between Cyrus and Dua Lipa was a long time coming. The perfect harmony between their smoky voices and their affinity for disco-tinged tunes makes this one of the best songs from Plastic Heart.

]]>If this isn’t enough to convince you to immediately buy the tickets for this iconic Napa Valley festival, the rest of the lineup certainly will. Miley Cyrus, Khalid, Anderson .Paak, Janelle Monae, and Maren Morris are only some of the many amazing artists set to perform at BottleRock.
Dave Graham, chief executive of BottleRock Napa Valley, described this as the festivals’ strongest lineup to date because it represents the best of what is happening in music right now. “It’s the deepest lineup that we have ever had. No matter how you want to measure it, whether it’s ticket sales, per band, the depth of the talent on the seventh or eighth lines of the lineup or on money spent, it’s our strongest lineup to date,” Graham told Billboard.
BottleRock will take place from May 22-24 at the Napa Valley Expo.

]]>Last week (December 13), Stevie Nicks became the first woman to be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame not once, but twice. In 1998, she was welcomed in with Fleetwood Mac but now, she has been inducted based on her solo material.
At the age of 70, Stevie Nicks is over the moon that she has been recognized for her solo material and hopes to inspire women in the generations below. She approached one particular girl band to share her words of wisdom after the show.
“After the show last night I was talking to the Haim girls,” the Fleetwood Mac star told Rolling Stone. “I was saying to them, ‘Okay, now I’ve opened the door for you. Now each one of you needs to go do a solo album really fast and get your solos going, so in the next 20 years you’ll be able to do this too and maybe I’ve opened the doors to all the girls in my life that sing and write and play and are amazing.’”
So, perhaps we can expect some solo albums one day soon from the Haim girls? Either way, here’s some Stevie Nicks to celebrate her inspiring achievement and general awesomeness.
