]]>The iconic metal band will be taking their upcoming sixth studio album We Are Not Your Kind across the pond for a lengthy tour. The dates are yet to be confirmed but the tour will spread across several major European cities including Copenhagen, Budapest, Berlin, London and Paris. It will span across 19 dates in total.
Slipknot are currently getting ready to embark on their Knotfest Roadshow across North America. Their album We Are Not Your Kind will be released August 9.

]]>The famous metal legends announced the long-rumored new album and its name will be We are not your kind, with a release date of August 9th at Roadrunner Records. It will be the first full – length project since 2014’s The Gray Chapter.
Slipknot also revealed the lead single of the album, called “Unsainted” and it was directed by M. Shawn Crahan aka Clown.
Slipknot will start touring North America on their Knotfest Roadshow starting on the 26th of July. Also, they will be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live to kick off their promotion cycle.
The band also revealed the track listing for “We Are Not Your Kind” and as it turns out, last year’s hit “All Out Life” was a single and not part of the project.

]]>Titled Knotfest Roadshow, the tour is set to kick off on July 26th in Mountain View, California and will see the band playing 29 shows across the continent. They will visit Phoenix, Denver, Virginia Beach, Austin, and Dallas among other cities, before wrapping up the road trip on September 8th in Woodlands, Texas. Slipknot will also be joined by Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth during the tour.
In order to promote Knotfest Roadshow, the band is set to make a special appearance at Los Angeles’ Brooklyn Projects skate shop on March 7th.
After releasing the acclaimed .5: The Gray Chapter in 2014, Slipknot took a break from recording new music as the bandmembers decided to focus on their solo project. Then in October 2018, vocalist Corey Taylor revealed that the band is working on a new album, and they released a new single “All Out Life” at the end of that month.
The song was well received by the critics, who described it as “thrash-heavy” and called it “ferocious” and “incredible.” You can hear the single below.

]]>The song was accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Slipknot’s drummer Shawn Crahan AKA “Clown.”
“Right now is a very exciting time for Slipknot,” said Clown in a statement. “We’ve been working on new music for the last two years, and “All Out Life,” the song and the video, is just one of many concepts in the works. It’s a fitting taste to get you to the next thing. Get ready for what’s to come. We challenge you to ‘All Out Life.'”
Slipknot last release before this new single came in 2014 when they put out their fifth studio album .5: The Gray Chapter. It was confirmed recently that they are working on the follow-up, with vocalist Corey Taylor saying that the band will enter the studio in early 2019 and aim to release the record in the summer of next year. Slipknot will embark on a world tour after the album gets out.
“The album is underway, and it’s going to be one of the darkest chapters in Slipknot’s history; it’s that good.” – said Taylor during his appearance on Zane Lowe ‘s Beats 1 radio show. “It’s complicated; it’s dark; it’s heavy; it’s melodic; it’s fierce; it’s angry, and it’s real; it’s raw as hell and it’s gonna be talking about a lot of things that people are going to need in their life right now.”

]]>“I have fantastic news,” Slipknot’s vocalist told Kerrang! at the Q&A session ahead of Kerrang! Awards 2018. “Some of you know, but I’ll just make it official right now: we are working on a new album. It’s only in the demo stages right now, however we have very serious, tentative plans – and I say that because the best way to make God laugh is to announce your plans out loud – to go into the studio at the beginning of next year and get this f***ing going.”
He also revealed some further details, saying that the release will be “Iowa levels of heavy.”
“We have 16 songs written right now, and they are f***ing dangerous,” Taylor continued. “I loved .5 [The Gray Chapter], but this album, to me, makes .5 look like nobody’s business. This is Iowa levels of heavy. And I have to go out and tour this s**t at my age – I can feel those songs in my back! I am really, really excited about it, and I talk to the guys in Slipknot all the time.”
