]]>Lorde hasn’t dropped any solo songs since her last studio album Solar Power came out in 2021, but her grand return is finally upon us. She’s given us the taste of her next era with the upbeat synth-pop track “What Was That”, her first single in nearly four years.
Lorde wasn’t the only artist setting the stage for her next studio album by dropping new music this week. “Down To Be Wrong” was released as the latest single from Haim’s I Quit, Arcade Fire dropped the title song from their next album Pink Elephant, while PinkPantheress set the stage for her mixtape Fancy That with “Stateside”.
This week has also given us several new albums worthy of your attention. Coco Jones’s debut studio album Why Not More? produced several great songs, including “On Sight”, d4vd promoted the release of Withered with the music video for “Is This Really Love?”, while Ghost set the stage for the release of Skeletá with “Peacefield”.

]]>“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was released back in April, as one of the singles from his album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. It’s been steadily climbing up the chart for almost two months and went platinum in the US with 2,000,000 certified units.
After sitting in the top ten for a week and peaking at No. 2, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” finally reached new heights during its latest week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It soared to No. 1 with 60 million radio airplay audience impressions, 44.8 million official streams, and 23,000 copies sold.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is Shaboozey’s first song to ever hit No. 1, and this is just one of many firsts. It’s also the first song to ever go to the top ten on all four Billboard radio charts: Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay, reaching crossover success. Shaboozey is also the first male Black artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs chart, and second overall to achieve this feat following Beyoncé with “Texas Hold ‘Em”.

]]>The rising country star Shaboozey created a lot of buzz for his new album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going with his breakout hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”. This isn’t the only amazing new song on his new LP, and “My Fault” ft. Noah Cyrus is also worth the listen.
Several more artists dropped new albums this week, giving us amazing new songs along the way. The Marías made the cut with “Echo” from Submarine, while Ayra Starr impressed us with “Last Heartbreak Song” ft. Giveon from The Year I Turned 21.
The rest of our list mostly consists of artists teasing their upcoming albums with new singles. Kehlani gave us a taste of Crash with “Next 2 U”, Normani shared another dose of Dopamine with “Candy Paint”, while Snow Patrol announced a new album The Forest Is the Path and teased their new sound with “The Beginning”.
Check out the rest of our list and discover new songs by Foster the People, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Disclosure, and Roddy Ricch.
