]]>We can count on music’s biggest stars to drop great new albums on Friday, and they’ve certainly delivered this week. Future’s Mixtape Pluto is poised to make the biggest splash on the charts along with its new single “Too Fast”, but Jamie xx’s In Waves is our personal favorite, especially after giving us the amazing new collaboration “Waited All Night” ft. Romy and Oliver Sim.
Bon Iver are setting the stage for their new EP Sables, and they’ve given us a new single “Speyside” as part of their promo for this record. Speaking of EPs worth keeping an eye on, Alemeda is a rising star worth watching, and you’ll be obsessed with her new song “I Already Dug Your Grave”.
This week also marked the return of Bad Bunny with “Una Velita”, while Gwen Stefani teased her new album Bouqet with “Somebody Else’s”. The rest of our list includes new songs by the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, All Time Low, and Father John Misty, so stick around to check them out.

]]>In a pretty slow week for new major releases, no new song created as much buzz as “Tough”. The collaboration between Quavo and Lana Del Rey is an unexpected but welcomed surprise, and it serves as an introduction to Del Rey’s upcoming country-themed album Lasso.
Speaking of new albums, Kasabian returned with Happenings this Friday, and “Italian Horror” emerged as one of its best songs. The country star Zach Bryan shared his new studio album The Great American Bar Scene, which has given us several amazing collaborations and his next big fit “28”.
This week marked the return of Childish Gambino with “Lithonia”, from his upcoming soundtrack album Bando Stone & the New World. Kesha also made a comeback with her first single of 2024, the electropop banger “Joyride”.
Beabadoobee, Jessie Ware, Romy, Killer Mike, OneRepublic, and Lainey Wilson also made it to our list, so buckle up to discover their new music.

]]>It’s been almost six years since the release of The XX’s last studio album I See You, and they’ve mostly been focusing on solo projects in recent years. Oliver Sim released his debut solo album Hideous Bastard in 2022, and Croft followed suit last year, with her debut solo album Mid Air.
Croft’s debut created quite a splash and she even received a Grammy nod for the lead single “Strong”, but she’s ready to partner up with The XX again. She believes they’ve “learned a lot from different projects” during their time apart and are now looking forward to joining forces again.
“I think it’s quite wide open and it’s exciting to be starting again in a way. But we’ve started making some music and I’m really excited about it… It’s still pretty early [but] I still think you’ll be able to tell it’s us but I think we’re excited to move it on and keep it feeling fresh,” Croft told NME.
