]]>The series of concerts in the British Summer Time Hyde Park series takes place at London’s Hyde Park over two or three weekends each summer. Approximately 65,000 people attend the event each year, and the list of previous headliners includes the likes of Taylor Swift, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Lana Del Rey, and many other A-list acts.
Williams previously headlined the festival in 2019, and he’ll make a comeback on July 6, 2024. He’s been announced as the second headliner of the upcoming edition of BST Hyde Park, after the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Williams released an official statement confirming his participation and said, “It’s an honor to be back here to headline BST Hyde Park. I can’t wait to see you all there!”
Williams didn’t release any new music in 2023, but this year has been pretty monumental because he recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of his solo career. He marked the occasion by releasing a Netflix documentary Robbie Williams, which chronicled the journey he embarked on after leaving Take That.

]]>This four-part documentary has been described as the definitive story of his rise to fame and stardom, and it will chronicle “all the ups, downs, and media scrutiny in between” that Williams faced over the course of the past three decades.
The four-part documentary hails from Joe Pearlman, the mastermind behind Netflix’s Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now. It will feature “hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archival footage, and intimate access to Williams himself”, according to Netflix’s official press release.
This documentary will premiere on Netflix on November 8, and its release date is meant to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Williams’ solo career. It will also chronicle the early days of his career with the boy band Take That before he found success as a solo artist.
This isn’t Williams’s first project that celebrates the 25th anniversary of his solo career. He also dropped a compilation album XXV which featured his greatest hits and embarked on a tour to promote its release.

]]>Glastonbury is arguably the UK’s most acclaimed festival. It is essentially Europe’s Coachella and has seen some of music’s biggest stars take on the mainstage. Last year, the festival saw special performances from the likes of The Killers, Stormzy, Miley Cyrus, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, and The Cure. Kylie Minogue filled 2019’s “Legend Slot” which is reserved for the most iconic stars in music.
Take That star Robbie Williams has now revealed that he would consider headlining but he would not be interested in joining Minogue in the list of stars to fill the prestigious “legends” spot.
“When I was at Glastonbury it felt as though the rest of the festival was like, ‘What the f**k are you doing here?” Williams told The Sun, referring to his 1998 appearance.
“I’d like to headline and that’s what I’d like to do, if I did anything,” he continued. “As far as I know, nothing is in the air for that. But they know where I am if they need me. I don’t want to do the legends slot, though.”
So far, Wolf Alice and Dianna Ross are the only artists to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2020. More names will follow.
