]]>The country legend McEntire will be the one performing the national anthem at the upcoming Super Bowl LVII in Las Vegas, and she can’t wait to hit the iconic stage.
“I’m honored to be part of something as big and historic as the Super Bowl coming to Las Vegas for the first time. 2024 marks 50 years since I was discovered singing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that anniversary,” said McEntire in a statement.
McEntire won’t be the only artist warming up the audience for the Big Game. She’ll be joined by Post Malone, who’ll deliver a rendition of “America the Beautiful”, while Andra Day is set to put her own twist on “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
The Super Bowl LVIII will take place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada with the R&B superstar Usher headlining this year’s halftime show. He recently told Vogue his performance will feature killer choreography, major costume changes, and “some important guests”.

]]>McEntire is not a The Voice newbie, and she lent advice to competing artists on several occasions in the past. She’s currently serving as the show’s “mega mentor”, but we’ve also seen her serve as an advisor to Shelton’s team during the show’s debut season.
McEntire is excited to take on the bigger role as the show progresses and join the coaches Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend in Season 24.
“I’m looking forward to being here with all of y’all. You’ve treated me so nicely. I appreciate the hospitality so much that you showed me earlier. And to be able to come in and form my team, I’m so looking forward to it,” she said during her latest appearance on the show.
Blake Shelton served as the coach since the very first season of The Voice, and he’s excited to see Reba McEntire take his seat. He’ll depart after the current 23rd season of the hit singing competition show, which premiered on NBC back in March.

]]>McEntire isn’t a complete newcomer in the world of The Voice—she previously served as a battle advisor during the show’s inaugural season on Blake Shelton’s season. Her involvement as a mega mentor brings things full circle since she’s returning for Shelton’s final season as a coach.
Her involvement as a mega mentor basically means she’ll mentor the remaining artists who have made it through the Battle Rounds as each team prepares for the Knockouts. This phase of the competition will kick off on April 17, while the show itself will premiere on March 6 on NBC.
Season 23 of The Voice is bringing many major changes our way to keep the competition more interesting. The Blind Auditions will end with a Top 40, while the Battle Rounds will feature Playoff Pass, which allows both artists in a battle to advance.
During the Knockouts, the artists are paired against each other and they’ll get to choose their own songs to perform individually while their competitors watch and wait. The Playoffs will make a comeback, and they’ll feature 20 remaining artists, with each coach getting to pick two for the live semi-finals.

]]>Sarah Trahern, CMA chief executive officer, couldn’t wait to share the incredible news with the public and said it’s an honor to welcome these three country superstars to the CMA Awards stage this year.
“In addition to awarding the year’s best and brightest in the genre, The 53rd Annual CMA Awards will celebrate the legacy of women within Country Music, and we couldn’t think of a more dynamic group of women to host the show,” said Trahern in a press release.
Carrie Underwood is no stranger to hosting the Country Music Association Awards since she’s been doing this alongside fellow country singer Brad Paisley since 2008. This will be the first time we’ll get to see her sharing the stage with someone else, and we can’t wait to see what that looks like when the CMA Awards air on ABC on November 13th.

This year’s Academy of Country Music Awards took place on April 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with country legend Reba McEntire serving as a host.
