We are sure that the world-class arena, which will be ready by mid-November, and the new green land around it will make it up to the residents,” the statement continued. “We apologize to the residents of the surrounding streets for the inconvenience caused.”
Deutschland was the first single of Rammstein new self-titled album. The album is the first single by the German industrial band to make the top 10 list on the Billboard 200 – it reached No. 9. It also reached No. 1 in 14 different countries. The single is accompanied by a high-budget video depicting the dark past of Germany. As is quite usual with Rammstein’s work – it garnered some controversy upon its release. This time, it seems, the band is not to blame.

]]>Billboard reported that the German industrial legends already sold 270,000 units of their self-titled album, which was released through Universal Music on May 17th.
The band’s latest album mostly topped the charts in European countries, including Germany, France, Russia, and Switzerland, but it also managed to climb to no. 9 on the Billboard 200, making it Rammstein’s first album to ever break into Top 10 in the US.
Frank Briegmann, president and CEO of Universal Music Central Europe and German label Deutsche Grammophon, couldn’t wait to share the news with the public and celebrate Rammstein’s enormous commercial success.
“Rammstein are in a league of their own – both in terms of their music and their shows, as well as their national and international success. They are THE German music export, capturing the imagination of millions of fans across the world,” said Briegmann in a statement.
