]]>RIAA Chairman and CEO Mitch Glazier confirmed the news in an official statement, announcing that “Sunflower” is the first-ever double-diamond certified song after attracting 20 million streams and downloads in the U.S. alone.
“Post Malone and Swae Lee have officially raised the bar on what creative partnerships and infectious collaborations have the power to accomplish. Congratulations Post, Swae Lee, and Mercury/Republic Records for making history with the very first 2x Diamond single!” said Glazier in a statement.
Post Malone is no stranger to breaking RIAA’s certification records. Just last year, he made history as the artist with the most diamond singles ever with eighth, including “Sunflower”, plus “White Iverson,” “Congratulations” ft. Quavo, “I Fall Apart,” “Rockstar” ft. 21 Savage, “Psycho” ft. Ty Dolla $ign, “Better Now”, and “Circles”.
“Sunflower” was originally released in October 2018 as a part of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and received a nod for the record of the year at the Grammy Awards.

]]>The Runaway Tour is scheduled to kick off on September 14th and will see Malone and his guest making stops in all of the continent’s major cities including Vancouver, Las Vegas, Toronto, Detroit, Boston, New York, Miami, and Denver among others. The tour will wrap up with a show in Los Angeles’ The Forum on November 20th.

Post Malone presented his second studio album Beerbongs & Bentleys back in 2018. Although the record received mixed reviews, it was a commercial success, peaking on No.1 at US Billboard 200.
Following the album’s release, Malone presented several singles including “Sunflower,” which he did with Swae Lee. His most recent work is a collaboration with Young Thug titled “Goodbyes,” which dropped in early July.

Father of the Bride will be Vampire Weekend’s fourth studio album, serving as a follow up to 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City. The record is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019 with the band already presenting singles “Harmony Hall,” “2021,” “Sunflower,” and “Big Blue.”
Following the album’s release, the band will embark on a massive tour across North America, which will be their first since 2014. They will kick off the trip on May 17th with a show on Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores and will perform through June, August, September and early October before wrapping up the tour in Denver on October 8th.
