]]>This week marked the release of new albums by several female vocalists we all know and love, including Kelly Clarkson, Kim Petras, and Coi Leray. All of their albums are worth keep listening to in full, but we had to stick to picking one song from each.
Highly-anticipated soundtracks for The Idol and Barbie have also given us two of the strongest candidates for song of the week. The Weeknd joined forces with Lily-Rose Depp and Blackpink’s Jennie for “One of the Girls”, while Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice put their own hip-hop-infused twist on Aqua’s iconic song “Barbie Girl” with their new collaboration “Barbie World”.
It’s also been a great week for Latin music, with Anitta, Rauw Alejandro, and Bizarrap making the cut. Fans of alternative music won’t be disappointed by our list, either, because we’re bringing you new tracks by Hozier, Beck, and Portugal. The Man.

]]>The book titled Phoenix: Liberté, Égalité, Phoenix! coincides with several important anniversaries for the band including its 30th anniversary, the 20th anniversary of their debut Untitled and the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
The book is described as a “superfan’s chronicle of the evolution of a band.” Written by The Guardian deputy music editor Laura Snapes, it will feature original interviews and will also draw on the members’ personal archives.
Guitarist and keyboard player Laurent Brancowitz, singer Thomas Mars, bassist Deck d’Arcy and guitarist Christian Mazzalai’s latest album was 2017’s Ti Amo.
Phoenix: Liberté, Égalité, Phoenix! is due out October 15.
