]]>After teasing their new era with several cryptic posts on social media, Twenty One Pilots finally confirmed they have new music on the way. Their new album Clancy is hitting the shelves in May, and the lead single “Overcompensate” did a great job welcoming us into this world.
Charli XCX also confirmed the release of her next album this week, developed under the cheeky title Brat. “Von Dutch” was released as the first single from the singer’s sixth studio album, and it sees her embracing her signature dance-pop sound.
This week was also pretty amazing for our favorite indie girlies. St. Vincent impressed us with “Broken Man”, Girl in Red teased her next album I’m Doing It Again Baby! with the new single “I’m Sorry…”, while Fletcher impressed us with her latest single “Doing Better”.
Our list also includes “Doctor (Work It Out)” by Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus, Olly Alexander’s Eurovision entry “Dizzy”, plus new songs by Kacey Musgraves, Chlöe, and Cage The Elephant.

]]>Taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest is a dream come true for Alexander, and he promised he’s going to give it everything he’s got and put on an excellent and unforgettable performance.
“As a young boy, I always looked forward to this incredible event of unbridled joy, the wonderfully chaotic mix of musical styles, theatrical performances, heartfelt emotion, and humor. I really can’t believe I’m going to be a part of such a special legacy,” said Alexander in a statement.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, described Alexander as “the perfect ambassador for the UK as both an immensely talented and world-renowned artist and passionate fan of the competition.”
Alexander is best known as the singer of the pop band Years & Years, which has been operating as his solo project for the past two years. He achieved two No. 1 albums in the UK under this moniker, including Communion and Night Call, in addition to topping the singles chart with their breakout hit “King”.

“There’s been some changes that we want to fill you in on. This upcoming new album has been an Olly endeavor and we’ve decided that Years & Years will continue as an Olly solo project. The three of us are still good friends,” reads the statement.
Before announcing their separation, Years & Years released two albums as a trio—Communion from 2015 and Palo Santo from 2018. They also topped the charts in the UK with the hit single “King”, and made it to the top 10 with “Shine”, “If You’re Over Me”, and the Jax Jones collaboration “Play”.
