]]>Bass recently made an appearance on the online gameshow Rent Free with Bilt Rewards founder and CEO Ankur Jain, who quizzed him about a potential *NSYNC reunion. He kept things sweet and short and told Jain, “We are talking about it and I hope to have some good news at some point.”
Seeing Bass reunite with his bandmates Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick wouldn’t be a huge shocker since they’ve made several joint appearances this year. It all started when they hit the stage at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop Award.
This appearance served as a teaser for the release of their first song together in two decades: “Better Place” from the Trolls Band Together soundtrack. Timberlake described this song as a “love letter” to their fans and said that so many stars aligned to get *NSYNC back and work on something fun together.

]]>In a recent chat with PEOPLE magazine, NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass talked about their first studio effort and revealed that there were three tracks they and the rest of their bandmates: Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, and JC Chasez, were not too crazy about.
According to Fatone and Bass, songs “Riddle,” “Here We Go,” and “I Need Love” were influenced by the European ’90s dance music, which NSYNC members felt wasn’t a good fit for their style.
“Those ones were a little err…The rest we love. It wasn’t our style. We weren’t a techno group,” Bass shared.
“We tried to do our song kind of stuff in our vibe, but they wanted to do a little bit more dance. So there were three songs that we did that were more European,” Fatone added.
Despite those three songs, NSYNC’s debut record was a smashing success. It reached No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 while selling 15 million copies worldwide and launching the boy bend into stardom.
NSYNC reunited back in September to release a new song, “Better Place,” which was part of the soundtrack for the animated flick Trolls Band Together. At the time, Fatone said that the group didn’t have any immediate plans to release more new music but left it as a possibility further down the line.

This week also marked the release of Jorja Smith’s highly-anticipated new album Falling or Flying, which had several amazing songs fighting for our attention, including “Broken is the Man”. Becky G’s new LP Esquinas also swept us off our feet and gave us several amazing tunes, including “2ndo Chance” ft. Ivan Cornejo.
Our list includes several more fantastic collaborations, including The Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven” ft. Lady Gaga & Stevie Wonder, Jung Kook’s “3D” ft. Jack Harlow, and Empress Of’s “Kiss Me” ft. Rina Sawayama. *NSYNC’s comeback single “Better Place” and Bad Bunny’s viral hit “Un Preview” also made the cut, so stick around to hear them out.

]]>Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone have given us four amazing albums by each other’s side before deciding to go their separate ways. They haven’t released any new music together since their final album Celebrity from 2001, but it was just a matter of time before they reunited.
They have been teasing their comeback for quite some time, and it all started when the band’s logo appeared on Trolls Band Together posters. They went on to appear at the MTV VMAs by each other’s side and later shared a snippet of their new song “Better Place” in the film’s latest trailer.
This song finally hit the shelves on September 29, and it will take you straight back to the late ’90s when this boy band was at the height of their powers. In addition to performing the song with the rest of NSYNC, Timberlake also co-produced it with Shellback and co-wrote the lyrics alongside Amy Allen.

]]>Backstreet Boys recently set down with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and accepted calls from fans during their appearance on the show. Kevin Richardson reflected on their rivalry with NSYNC after one caller brought up the fact that both bands were formed by the same producer.
“Basically the same producer — Max Martin — that did a lot of their songs did our songs, and they offered us…I’m pretty sure it was ‘Tearin Up My Heart’ and we turned it down. But look, the thing with us and NSYNC, we were brothers; we were just on different teams,” explained Richardson.
The fact they were releasing music with a similar vibe at the same time didn’t stop either band from thriving. Both bands released two albums that reached no. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 before going their separate ways, but Backstreet Boys eventually reunited and topped the charts again with their last album DNA.

]]>NSYNC’s Lance Bass recently had a chat with Variety and told the magazine that the band will soon have a “sit down” and discuss the opportunities for new projects.
“We haven’t talked about what the next step is but I know we’ll sit down during the summer together and figure it out,” said Bass. “There are many, many things coming across our desk because of Coachella that we would be stupid not to discuss and look at. Coachella was incredible, and it was a big moment for NSYNC.”
If NSYNC gets back together, Timberlake almost certainly won’t be the part of the reunion. Still, the “Cry Me a River” singer endorses his former bandmates to have another go as expressed his support over social media recently.
NSYNC was founded in 1995 and consisted of Bass, Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone. The group recorded three albums, which sold in 70 million copies, before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2002.

FBE decided to play some of the NSYNC music videos to teenagers and see what they think about the former boy band sensation. Surprisingly, NSYNC would be popular today as well, since most teens gave the band thumbs up. There were also some funny scenes in the video, with one kid thinking the group was from the ’80s. Formed in 1996, NSYNC went on to release three studio albums, with two of them topping the US Billboard 200.
