]]>Dua Lipa’s “Illusion” is definitely the week’s most talked-about new track, and it deserves all the attention coming its way. It’s the third single from her new album Radical Optimism, and it perfectly captures its nostalgic, Britpop-inspired sound.
This week also marked the release of Metro Boomin and Future’s second collaborative album We Still Don’t Trust You, and its title track made it to our list. Speaking of new albums, Maggie Rogers and Girl in Red made a comeback with their latest LPs this week and truly impressed us with their new sound.
It was a great week for female artists overall, and the songs that made the cut cover a wide range of different genres. In addition to Maggie Rogers and Girl in Red representing alternative pop-rock, R&B artists Chlöe, Tinashe, and Willow also made it to our list alongside the rising country star Tanner Adell.

]]>Rogers took to social media to share a short clip of new music, which she captioned with the words “see you in 2024.” The song in question seems to be “Don’t Forget Me”, which she performed in several live shows throughout 2023.
The lyrics, “So close the door and change the channel/ Give me something I can handle/ A good lover, or someone that’s nice to me/ Take my money. Wreck my Sundays/ Love me till your next somebody/ But promise me when it’s time to leave, don’t forget me” can be heard in the video, but it’s unclear if Rogers is planning to drop the full track on audio streaming services anytime soon.
Rogers’ promise of new music for 2024 doesn’t come as a shocker since she revealed she’s written and recorded her third studio album last spring. She said that she’s “so so so in love with” her new songs and that she can’t wait to start playing them for her fans that summer.

]]>Rogers shared the amazing news by posting several photos and videos from the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York, and captioned the post by writing, “That’s a wrap on LP3 !!!! Written + recorded + off to mixing. So so so in love with these songs and cannot wait to start playing them for you this summer.”
Rogers was referring to her upcoming tour across the US, and she’ll be joined by Soccer Mommy and Alvvays on the road. She previously made an unconventional choice to launch in-person ticket sales to combat high ticketing fees and reseller prices ahead of the tour.
“I’ve been thinking about this over the last few months and wanted to provide you with another option. So this time, in an effort to eliminate bots and lower fees – we’re going analog. Come buy a ticket like it’s 1965,” she said at the time.
Rogers’s last studio album Surrender came out in July last year to rave reviews and debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.

]]>Rogers delivered her rendition of the ‘80s dance anthem while stopping by for an interview on the Canadian radio show The Strombo Show. She described Whitney Houston’s classic as an important part of her current tour, which she performs at every show. “This song comes on after we finish playing our last song and it’s been really special to see the crowd sort of turn into a dance party on its own with this song,” she explained.
Her mournful version of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” perfectly reflects the musical style Rogers curated over the years, starting with her breakout hit “Alaska”. Her life turned upside down after she performed this song in front of Pharrell Williams, who attended a masterclass held at her school.
Her career was on an upward spiral ever since, and Maggie Rogers really made a splash with her first album “Heard It in a Past Life”. It was released on January 18 and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 Chart.
