The CMT Music Awards are one of the year’s biggest celebrations of country music, and they finally unveiled this year’s list of nominees. Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, and Kelsea Ballerini are leading the way with three nominations each.

All of these artists, with the exception of Megan Moroney, will be in the running for the ceremony’s top accolade – video of the year. Jelly Roll made the cut with “Need a Favor”, Wilson is in the running with “Watermelon Moonshine”, Johnson received a nomination for “The Painter”, while Ballerini owes her nod to “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)”.

The list of major contenders for this award also includes Ashley McBryde’s “Light on in the Kitchen”, Hardy’s “Truck Bed”, Jason Aldean’s “Let Your Boys Be Country”, Kacey Musgraves’ “Deeper Well”, and Zach Bryan’s “Nine Ball”, among other songs.

Jelly Roll and Johnson also received nominations for male video of the year and performance of the year. Wilson and Ballerini are in the running for female video of the year, with “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Penthouse”, respectively.

As for Megan Moroney, she also received a nod for female video of the year and CMT digital-first performance of the year for “I’m Not Pretty”, plus a collaborative video of the year for “Can’t Break Up Now” with Old Dominion.

The 2024 CMT Music Awards will take place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on April 7, with Kelsea Ballerini hosting the show.

Lainey Wilson came into this year’s Country Music Association Awards with nine nominations, and she lived up to the high expectations. Wilson was crowned as the biggest winner of the night with five awards, including entertainer of the year.

Wilson had to beat tough competition in Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen to be named entertainer of the year at this year’s CMA Awards. To make the whole thing even more impressive, she also won a trophy for album of the year with Bell Bottom Country.

Wilson also defeated Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce to be named the female vocalist of the year. She picked up two more awards with her Hardy collaboration “Wait in the Truck”: music video of the year and musical event of the year.

It was also a big night for Luke Combs’, whose cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was one of the most decorated songs of the night. It won the trophy for single of the year and song of the year, but Combs ended up losing the award for male vocalist of the year to Chris Stapleton.

The 2023 Country Music Association Awards took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on November 8, with Luke Bryan with Peyton Manning hosting the show.

Wilson also defeated the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBrydea, and Carly Pearce to win female artist of the year. She also won two awards with the Hardy collaboration “Wait in the Truck” – music event of the year and visual media of the year.

The list of major winners also included Chris Stapleton (entertainer of the year), Morgan Wallen (male artist of the year), Old Dominion (group of the year), Brothers Osborne (duo of the year), and Cole Swindell’s “She Had Me at Heads Carolina” (single and song of the year).

The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards took place on May 11 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, with Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks serving as a host.

Another CMT Music Awards is behind us, and it was a truly great night for the fans of country music. The rising star Jolly Roll picked up three awards by the end of the night, and he was closely followed by the ceremony’s most-nominated artist Lainey Wilson with two.

Jelly Roll made quite a splash with his breakout hit “Son of a Sinner”, and the CMT Music Awards voters were definitely paying attention. This song ended up winning three trophies, including the best male video of the year, male breakthrough video of the year, and CMT digital-first performance of the year.

As for Wilson, she was the ceremony’s most-nominated artist with four nods, and she managed to walk away with two trophies. In addition to winning the best female video of the year with “Heart Like A Truck”, she also won the award for the best collaborative video of the year for “Wait in the Truck” alongside Hardy.

The CMT Music Awards are returning to Texas in less than a month, and we finally know who’s in the running for one of country music’s most prestigious honors. The list of nominations is in, and Lainey Wilson is leading the way with nods in four different categories.

Wilson landed a nomination for female video of the year with “Heart Like a Truck” from her latest studio album Bell Bottom Country, but she owes the majority of her nods to her hit collaborations.

The CMT Music Awards are one of the year’s biggest celebrations of country music, and they finally unveiled this year’s list of nominees. Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, and Kelsea Ballerini are leading the way with three nominations each.

All of these artists, with the exception of Megan Moroney, will be in the running for the ceremony’s top accolade – video of the year. Jelly Roll made the cut with “Need a Favor”, Wilson is in the running with “Watermelon Moonshine”, Johnson received a nomination for “The Painter”, while Ballerini owes her nod to “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)”.

The list of major contenders for this award also includes Ashley McBryde’s “Light on in the Kitchen”, Hardy’s “Truck Bed”, Jason Aldean’s “Let Your Boys Be Country”, Kacey Musgraves’ “Deeper Well”, and Zach Bryan’s “Nine Ball”, among other songs.

Jelly Roll and Johnson also received nominations for male video of the year and performance of the year. Wilson and Ballerini are in the running for female video of the year, with “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Penthouse”, respectively.

As for Megan Moroney, she also received a nod for female video of the year and CMT digital-first performance of the year for “I’m Not Pretty”, plus a collaborative video of the year for “Can’t Break Up Now” with Old Dominion.

The 2024 CMT Music Awards will take place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on April 7, with Kelsea Ballerini hosting the show.

Lainey Wilson came into this year’s Country Music Association Awards with nine nominations, and she lived up to the high expectations. Wilson was crowned as the biggest winner of the night with five awards, including entertainer of the year.

Wilson had to beat tough competition in Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen to be named entertainer of the year at this year’s CMA Awards. To make the whole thing even more impressive, she also won a trophy for album of the year with Bell Bottom Country.

Wilson also defeated Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce to be named the female vocalist of the year. She picked up two more awards with her Hardy collaboration “Wait in the Truck”: music video of the year and musical event of the year.

It was also a big night for Luke Combs’, whose cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was one of the most decorated songs of the night. It won the trophy for single of the year and song of the year, but Combs ended up losing the award for male vocalist of the year to Chris Stapleton.

The 2023 Country Music Association Awards took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on November 8, with Luke Bryan with Peyton Manning hosting the show.

Another CMT Music Awards is behind us, and it was a truly great night for the fans of country music. The rising star Jolly Roll picked up three awards by the end of the night, and he was closely followed by the ceremony’s most-nominated artist Lainey Wilson with two.

Jelly Roll made quite a splash with his breakout hit “Son of a Sinner”, and the CMT Music Awards voters were definitely paying attention. This song ended up winning three trophies, including the best male video of the year, male breakthrough video of the year, and CMT digital-first performance of the year.

As for Wilson, she was the ceremony’s most-nominated artist with four nods, and she managed to walk away with two trophies. In addition to winning the best female video of the year with “Heart Like A Truck”, she also won the award for the best collaborative video of the year for “Wait in the Truck” alongside Hardy.

The CMT Music Awards are returning to Texas in less than a month, and we finally know who’s in the running for one of country music’s most prestigious honors. The list of nominations is in, and Lainey Wilson is leading the way with nods in four different categories.

Wilson landed a nomination for female video of the year with “Heart Like a Truck” from her latest studio album Bell Bottom Country, but she owes the majority of her nods to her hit collaborations.
