]]>Holiday songs occupy nine out of ten spots in the top ten on the Hot 100 chart this week, with “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars being the only exception. Mariah Carey returned to No. 1 with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for its 17th week on top, which set a new record for the longest-running chart-topping single of her career.
This week also marked the arrival of two modern holiday hits to the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Ariana Grande hit No. 9 with “Santa Tell Me”, over a decade after it was released as a bonus track on her holiday EP Christmas Kisses. She’s followed by Kelly Clarkson, who made it to No. 10 with “Underneath the Tree”, her first song to soar this high since “Piece by Piece” hit No. 8 in 2016.
These are the only holiday songs released during the 21st century to enter the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The record for the most recently released seasonal song to reach the top ten had previously been held by Kenny G’s take on “Auld Lang Syne,” released in 1999.

]]>This week marked the release of new albums by several female vocalists we all know and love, including Kelly Clarkson, Kim Petras, and Coi Leray. All of their albums are worth keep listening to in full, but we had to stick to picking one song from each.
Highly-anticipated soundtracks for The Idol and Barbie have also given us two of the strongest candidates for song of the week. The Weeknd joined forces with Lily-Rose Depp and Blackpink’s Jennie for “One of the Girls”, while Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice put their own hip-hop-infused twist on Aqua’s iconic song “Barbie Girl” with their new collaboration “Barbie World”.
It’s also been a great week for Latin music, with Anitta, Rauw Alejandro, and Bizarrap making the cut. Fans of alternative music won’t be disappointed by our list, either, because we’re bringing you new tracks by Hozier, Beck, and Portugal. The Man.

]]>Foo Fighters are fresh off dropping their latest studio album But Here We Are, and they’ll spend most of the summer on the road. Clarkson is gearing up to release her new album Chemistry this June, while Lil Wayne is currently plotting two new albums that don’t have an official release date yet.
They’ll be joined by an impressive lineup of major artists, including Fall Out Boy, Kane Brown, Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Lenny Kravitz, Public Enemy, TLC, Miguel, and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Tom Coleman, iHeartMedia’s Chief Programming Officer, said they’re in awe of this year’s lineup because “each performer can sell out on their own, so it’s incredibly rare that you can see them all together on the same stage.”
The two-day concert will be taking place on September 22 and 23 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Ryan Seacrest serving as a host. The concerts will be broadcast on iHeartMedia radio stations, but the official stream won’t be available this time around, since iHeartRadio struck a deal with Hulu to have them exclusively air the festival.

]]>This has been an amazing week for female-centric hip-hop remixes, the likes of which we haven’t seen since “Savage” and “Say So” remixes hit the shelves around the same time in 2020. This time around, the remix wars are fought between “Kill Bill” by SZA ft. Doja Cat and “Princess Diana” by Ice Spice ft. Nicki Minaj – and we’re all winners here.
As for the new album releases this week, Metallica’s 72 Seasons will certainly make the biggest mark, and we made sure to include its latest single “Sleepwalk My Life Away”. Angel Olsen also impressed us with her latest EP Forever Means and its title song.
It’s also been a great week for pop music, with Kelly Clarkson making a comeback with double single “Mine/Me” and Céline Dion impressing us with a new song from Love Again soundtrack. Even Post Malone made a shift to pop with his new song “Chemical”, and used it to tease his fifth studio album.

]]>Clarkson channeled her inner “The Boss” for the performance while Esten followed her on an acoustic guitar and provided backing vocals. After the two wrapped up the song, Clarkson used the opportunity to say Esten is “one of the nicest humans you’re ever going to meet.”
“People always talk about how rotten people can be. People can be awesome too — that’s Charles,” she told the audience.
Check out Clarkson and Esten’s “Glory Days” cover in the video below.
Bruce Springsteen released “Glory Days” as the fifth single from his iconic 1985 album Born in the U.S.A. The track was met with a positive response from the audience, earning platinum status in the United States while also peaking at No. 5 on US Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Kelly Clarkson is no stranger to signing Born in the U.S.A. songs on her show. Back in 2020, Clarkson also covered “Dancing in the Dark,” the album’s first single and arguably its biggest hit.

]]>Clarkson announced Chemistry in a short Instagram video and revealed she’s been working on it for nearly three years. It’s her first post-divorce album, and she described it as “the arc of an entire relationship.”
“This is my most personal record. And it’s not all bad – like, there is heartbreak in it, and there is sadness in it… I had to get through it to even talk about it, so I don’t break down in an interview and cry about it – so I’m there now,” she previously told Access Daily’s Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover.
Chemistry will mark Clarkson’s first “regular” studio album since Meaning of Life in 2017, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t released any new music in the meantime. Her Christmas album When Christmas Comes Around… was released in 2021, and she also shared the EP of covers titled Kellyoke last year.
Clarkson’s tenth studio album still doesn’t have a release date, but the singer said it will come out “really soon”. It’s expected to feature songs “Chemistry”, “Red Flag Collector”, and “Raw Cuts” / “Rock Hudson”.

The “Because of You” singer received five Billboard Music Awards nominations, before being honored with the Powerhouse Award at the annual Billboard Women in Music event in 2017. She was recruited to host this ceremony for the first time a year later.
Clarkson has proven herself as an amazing host in both 2018 and 2019 when she opened the ceremony by performing a mash-up of year’s biggest hits. We’re yet to see if she’s going to do the same this year, when Billboard Music Awards air live on NBC on April 29th.

She announced the news during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and treated each member of the audience to a pair of tickets and a free stay and dinner at Planet Hollywood.
Since she’s currently busy hosting her own daily talk show and serving as a coach on The Voice, Clarkson saw her Vegas residency as a perfect opportunity to reunite with her fans without having to travel from one city to another every night.
“I love everything I’m doing, but the one thing that bummed me out was that I am so busy I’m not able to tour. Vegas was the perfect option for me to still be able to do shows and play music and see the fans,” the singer told Billboard.
