Carpenter and Ortega are both former Disney stars who built a pretty successful career in recent years, and their love for Death Becomes Her brought them together. “Taste” also references several other iconic movies, including Psycho, Addams Family Values, Ginger Snaps, and Kill Bill.
“Taste” is the third single from Carpenter’s sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet, but it’s not the first to break the internet. The singer also created a lot of commotion with “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”, which became her first single to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
