“With ‘Bad’ and the other songs on the EP, I wanted to be honest about some of my own stories and other stories I was being pulled into. I regularly write things down in a stream of consciousness to empty my head,” said Bay in a press release.

]]>This three-minute long clip shows the pair sitting by each other’s side in an empty nightclub and delivering their soulful pop ballade, which will tug at your heartstrings. There’s not much more to it, but the slow-motion camera that’s circling around them certainly gives this video an incredibly intimate feel.
Julia Michaels described the process of writing this song as “a great collaborative experience”, because it came from a place they can both relate to. James Bay echoed her statement while explaining the meaning behind their emotional duet.
“In writing ‘Peer Pressure’ Julia and I wanted to talk about how, when the right person comes along, they can break through any armor and with love, get straight to you. It’s about that person who, no matter how much of a guard you hold up, finds their way through to you,” said English hit-maker.

2019 is shaping up to be a pretty busy year for Zara Larsson, who recently dropped new song “Ruin My Life”. It will serve as lead single for her upcoming third album, and the Swedish singer stressed how important it was for her to do this on her own.
“I thought to myself, I just wanted to release a song, just me. I want people to know who I am. A lot of the times, people have heard my song, any of the singles, but not necessarily know who I am. I wanted to put my face out there,” explained Larsson.
