]]>Japanese Breakfast graced us with their latest album For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women) this week, giving us ten amazing songs. They’re all great in their own right, but we singled out “Picture Window” as an early favorite. Speaking of new albums, James Arthur dropped Pisces this Friday and made it to our list with “Karaoke”.
When it comes to major singles released this week, none created more buzz than Jack Harlow’s “Just Us” feat. Doja Cat. The duo’s collaboration was a long time coming, and it’s truly the best of both worlds.
Many of our favorite artists set the stage for their upcoming albums by dropping new singles this week. Yungblud set the stage for his next era with “Hello Heaven, Hello”, while Marina teased her sixth studio album with a dreamy new song “Cupid’s Girl”.
Check out the rest of our list to discover new music by Avery Anna, Conan Gray, Good Neighbours, Jorja Smith, Major League DJz, and The Black Keys.

]]>It’s been a slow week for new album releases, but that didn’t stop Lil Baby from making a splash with his latest album WHAM. The final installment of his Hard series has given us many epic collaborations, including “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber” ft. Young Thug and Future.
It’s also been a good week for Jack Harlow, who wrapped 2024 on a high note, by sharing a reflective new song “Tranquility”. Little Simz also dropped a brand-new single before the last year was over, and reintroduced herself with a new song “Hello, Hi”.
The rest of our list for this week mostly puts alternative artists front and center. Stick around to discover new music by the likes of Celeste, Rose Gray, Beach Fossils, Thursday, Girlpuppy, Jane Remover, and Henrik.

]]>With 74 million radio airplay audience impressions, 27.4 million streams, and 6,000 downloads in the January 19-25 tracking week, “Lovin on Me” returned to No. 1. This marks the rapper’s longest reign on the chart, surpassing the three-week run of “First Class” in 2022.
“Lovin on Me” returned to No. 1 only a week after narrowly losing the top spot to Ariana Grande’s “Yes, And?” This is its fourth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but this number could’ve been much higher if “Loving on Me” wasn’t blocked from reaching the top by several Christmas songs throughout the holiday season, including Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”.
The Billboard Hot 100 experienced a major shakeup this week, with “Yes, And”? falling all the way down to No. 6 after debuting atop the chart. It was beaten by Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”, Tate McRae’s “Greedy”, Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control”, and Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything” ft. Kacey Musgraves in the top five.

]]>“Lovin on Me” returned to No. 1 after seasonal songs departed the chart, hitting the top spot with 29 million streams, 52.3 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 8,000 downloads in the December 29-January 4 tracking week.
This marks the second week “Lovin on Me” spent atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart following its release in November last year. It was released as a standalone single just a few months after Harlow dropped his third studio album Jackman, and it marks his third No. 1 single in the U.S., following the Lil Nas X collaboration “Industry Baby” and solo single “First Class”.
As for the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for this week, Taylor Swift’s former No. 1 hit “Cruel Summer” hit No. 2, while Tate McRae’s viral bop “Greedy” reached a new peak at No. 3. Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red” and Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything,” featuring Kacey Musgraves rounded up the top five this week, after previously hitting No. 1.

]]>Harlow decided to embark on this journey after realizing how much of his home state he’d never seen, and he commemorated the experience by making an immersive VR concert and documentary special along the way.
“I suddenly got this urge to take a tour bus across Kentucky with all my childhood friends. So that’s what we did. Six shows in different towns across the state, with the final stop being in Lexington. We decided my first show at the historic Rupp Arena was the perfect moment to capture in VR,” he explained in a statement.
This concert film is produced by Harlow, Range Media Productions, Media Monks, and Meta, and it will premiere as a part of the Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley on January 4.
2023 has been another amazing year for Harlow, who dropped his third studio album Jackman back in April and made waves with his latest single “Lovin on Me”. This song hit the shelves as a stand-alone single in November and reached No. 1 all around the world, including the UK and the US.

]]>Jack Harlow’s “Loving on Me” was the only non-holiday song in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, so it’ll be the strongest No. 1 contender coming into the New Year.
Tate McRae’s “Greedy” is one of the biggest viral hits in the world right now, and it’s been constantly topping global Spotify, but does it have what it takes to soar to No. 1?
It was quite ironic to see Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” reach No. 1 for the first time in the middle of the fall, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see it make a comeback after spending three weeks on top.
SZA’s “Snooze” peaked at No. 2, and it seems she went as far as she could with this song, but could the release of the SOS deluxe edition LANA push it to the top of the Hot 100 chart?
Tyla’s breakout hit “Water” peaked at No. 10 before the holiday songs took over the Hot 100 chart, but we’re expecting it to reach a new high once they’re gone.

]]>“Lovin On Me” hit the shelves on November 10 and debuted at no. 2, behind Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”. It topped the Hot 100 chart just a week later, with 23.6 million streams, 20.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 11,000 downloads sold.
Harlow celebrated the news on social media and posted several headlines announcing his Hot 100 success, captioned with the words “Warming up. More coming.” Since “Lovin on Me” wasn’t a part of his latest studio album Jackman, which came out this April, it’s safe to assume he’s currently plotting its follow-up.
“Lovin on Me” marks Harlow’s third single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, following the success of his “Industry Baby” collaboration with Lil Nas X and the solo single “First Class”. He joins Taylor Swift and Drake as the third artist to score at least one new Hot 100 No. 1 single in each of the last three years.
Before topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, “Lovin on Me” already did the same in several other countries and spent two weeks at No. 1 in the UK.

]]>“Lovin on Me” drew 5.1 million streams in the UK following its release on November 10, and blocked Dua Lipa’s recent single “Houdini” from topping the UK Official Singles Chart. It’s Harlow’s very first song to soar to No. 1 in the UK, but he came really close with the Lil Nas X collaboration “Industry Baby” at No. 3 and “First Class” at No. 2.
Despite managing to top the charts in the UK, “Lovin on Me” had to take the backseat to Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. This song returned to No. 1 for the fourth week, while Harlow’s latest single debuted at No. 2 with 22.2 million streams, 12.2 million in radio audience impressions, and 12,000 units sold.
“Lovin on Me” was released as a stand-alone single and it’s not associated with Harlow’s most recent album Jackman. The rapper’s third LP hit the shelves in April and produced songs “They Don’t Love It”, “Denver”, “Gang Gang”, and “Common Ground”.

]]>Dua Lipa’s “Houdini” is definitely the week’s most exciting new release, and it was worth waiting for. The British singer made an epic comeback with this song, which is as catchy as some of her biggest hits, while also allowing you to embrace a new psychedelic sound.
This week also marked the release of debut albums of some of the biggest Gen-Z rising stars. PinkPantheress knocked us off our feet with Heaven Knows, and gave us another amazing collaboration with “Nice To Meet You” ft. Central Cee. The Kid LAROI also finally released his highly-anticipated debut studio album The First Time and promoted its release with the new song “Sorry”.
It was an amazing week for Gen-Z stars overall, and several others made it to our list of the best songs. Gracie Abrams impressed us with her new single “Cedar”, Tierra Whack gave us another quirky bop with “Chanel Pit”, Dove Cameron kept exploring her edgy side with “Sand”, while Jack Harlow continued his rise through the hip-hop ranks with“Lovin On Me”.

This week also marked the release of Jorja Smith’s highly-anticipated new album Falling or Flying, which had several amazing songs fighting for our attention, including “Broken is the Man”. Becky G’s new LP Esquinas also swept us off our feet and gave us several amazing tunes, including “2ndo Chance” ft. Ivan Cornejo.
Our list includes several more fantastic collaborations, including The Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven” ft. Lady Gaga & Stevie Wonder, Jung Kook’s “3D” ft. Jack Harlow, and Empress Of’s “Kiss Me” ft. Rina Sawayama. *NSYNC’s comeback single “Better Place” and Bad Bunny’s viral hit “Un Preview” also made the cut, so stick around to hear them out.
