]]>Iron Maiden will return to Bogota, Colombia for the first time in 13 years on November 24, 2024. Even though their concert is almost a year away, it took only 21 minutes for the band’s Colombian fans to snatch all the 42,000 tickets for El Campín Stadium.
Alfredo Villaveces, managing director of Move Concerts Colombia, said they’ve expected strong sales given the long wait since the band’s last concert, but seeing the tickets sell out so fast has been truly mind-blowing.
“Never in our wildest dreams did we think it would blow out in 21 minutes and smash sales records. And if we factor in the fact we went up so far ahead of the show date – something no other artist had done here – it is truly amazing,” said Villaveces in a press release.
Iron Maiden’s The Future Past World Tour kicked off this May, and they’re expected to go on the road next September. The heavy metal band will perform a series of concerts in Oceania, Asia, North America, and South America throughout Fall 2024.

]]>The metal veterans will kick off their North American tour with a concert at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego, CA on October 4, 2024. Their tour includes stops in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Salt Lake City, and Portland, in addition to several dates in Canada, and they’re planning to wrap things up with a concert in Santiago, Chile.
The Future Past World Tour includes songs from the band’s latest album Senjutsu, in addition to their biggest hits from Somewhere in Time. The band’s lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson previously revealed they really want to perform Senjutsu in full for the live audience.
“We’ve talked about doing the entire album start to finish… That is something that really diehard fans will probably love and other people will go, ‘Hmmm, I’m not gonna go see that.’ So the answer is you play smaller venues so that they sell out with just your diehard fans,” said Dickinson during last year’s appearance on the Talk Is Jericho podcast.

]]>During a special show hosted by comedian Al Murray in 2018, McBrain show-cased both his talent on the drum kit and his abilities to entertain an audience with a microphone in hand. He even shed light on the whole double-bass mystery!
“I was quoted years ago saying [using double-bass is] very undrummerish, it’s very unmusical. And I really spoke out of turn, because it’s not that,” admitted McBrain. “I just felt that I didn’t wanna use two, because I found one was hard enough. Why compound the issue with two?”
But it’s not like McBrain never tried to double-bass, according to his own admission: “I mean, I’ve sat at home and played with a double pedal, and believe me, once you get into it, it’s very hard to remove yourself from it, ’cause you start thinking, ‘Oh, that sounds really good.’”
“I have used a double-bass pedal on a song called ‘Face In The Sand’ off Dance Of Death,” he added later, confirming the claim common among Iron Maiden fans that the track is the only one to have McBrain use a double-bass setup on.

]]>The Legacy of the Beast Tour, which is scheduled to kick off in July 2018, will be inspired by the band’s Legacy of the Beast mobile game, which sees Eddie, Iron Maiden’s mascot, exploring various “Maiden worlds.”
“This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs,” said the band’s lead singer Bruce Dickinson in a statement. “It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date.”
Besides spectacular production, bassist Steve Harris also promised that the setlist for the shows will be consist of both fan favorites like “The Number Of The Beast,” “Fear Of The Dark,” and “Run To The Hills,” and songs that Iron Maiden haven’t played in years including “The Clansman,” “Flight Of Icarus,” and “Sign Of The Cross.”
The 33-dates long The Legacy of the Beast Tour will start in Sunrise on July 18th and will wrap up in San Antonio on September 25th. During the tour, Iron Maiden will visit some cities in which they haven’t played in years including Portland, where they had their last show in 1987.
