Sabrina Carpenter’s rise to the top of the charts has been a joy to watch, and she finally managed to hit No. 1. Her latest single “Please Please Please” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart during its second week, becoming her first song to do so.

Carpenter scored her best streaming week for a song with 50.9 million official streams, but 3.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and 7,000 sold copies also helped “Please Please Please” rise to No. 1. It also topped Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart for its second week in a row.

The success of “Please Please Please” can be credited to several versions that Carpenter released to help it rise through the ranks. The original song hit the shelves on June 6, and it was quickly followed by acoustic, a cappella, instrumental, sped-up, and slowed-down versions.

“Please Please Please” replaces Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” ft. Morgan Wallen at No. 1, while the rest of the top five includes Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at No. 3, Carpenter’s own “Espresso” at No. 4, and Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” at No. 5.

“Please Please Please” will be featured on Carpenter’s upcoming album Short n’ Sweet, set to be released via Island Records on August 23.

Sabrina Carpenter is getting ready to take the world by storm with her new album Short n’ Sweet, and her chart domination is already upon us. She hit No. 2 and No. 3 with “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” on the Billboard Hot 100, making history along the way.

Despite losing the No. 1 spot to Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’ “I Had Some Help”, Carpenter did pretty great on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. Her latest single “Please Please Please” debuted at No. 2, becoming her highest-charting song to date.

It opens with 50.3 million streams, 533,000 in airplay audience, and 7,000 in sales during its first week on the chart after hitting the shelves on July 7, along with the music video starring Carpenter’s boyfriend, Saltburn star Barry Keoghan.

To make the whole thing even better, Carpenter also hit No. 3 with “Espresso”, which drew 47.7 million in radio reach, 38.4 million streams, and 28,000 in digital and physical sales during its latest week on the chart. This makes Carpenter the first soloist and the second act overall alongside The Beatless to place two initial top-three hits with no other billed artists.

“Espresso” and “Please Please Please” serve as the first two singles from her upcoming album Short n’ Sweet, set to be released on August 23.

It’s Megan Thee Stallion’s world, and we’re just living in it! The Grammy-winning rapper kicked off Black History Month in the best way possible—by topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her latest single “Hiss”, her first solo song to hit No. 1.

“Hiss” debuted atop the Hot 100 chart with 29.2 million first-week streams, 2.9 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 104,000 downloads sold during its debut week. It’s Stallion’s first solo single to achieve this feat and third overall, joining A-list collaborations “Savage” ft. Beyoncé and “WAP” ft. Cardi B.

Seeing “Hiss” hit No. 1 is just the latest in the series of amazing news that the rapper shared with her fans in recent weeks. She also revealed that she’ll embark on Hot Girl Summer Tour later this year, and announced a distribution deal with Warner Music shortly after her chart-topping single hit the shelves.

“Hiss” won a pretty tight race to debut at No. 1, defeating Jack Harlow’s “Lovin on Me”, which dipped to the No. 2 spot this week. Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”, Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control”, and Tate McRae’s “Greedy” joined them in the top five, while Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” broke into the top ten.

Ariana Grande made quite a splash with her comeback single “Yes, And?”, and she’s already reaping the fruits of her labor. The lead single from her upcoming studio album Eternal Sunshine easily soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her eighth single to climb to No. 1.

“Yes, And?” drew 27.2 million streams and 24.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, in addition to 53,000 in sales (including 41,000 digital downloads) during its first week on the chart, following its release on January 12. In addition to debuting at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, it also topped Billboard’s Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts.

“Yes, And?” is Grande’s eighth single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it marks her sixth chart-topping debut, helping her tie Taylor Swift’s record for most No. 1 debuts among female solo artists.

She also extended her record as the first and only artist to debut within the top ten with each lead single from her seven studio albums, after previously entering the chart with “The Way” ft. Mac Miller from Yours Truly, “Problem” ft. Iggy Azalea from My Everything, “Dangerous Woman” from Dangerous Woman, “No Tears Left to Cry” from Sweetener, “Thank U, Next” from Thank U, Next, and “Positions” from Positions.

“Yes, And?” was released as the lead single from Grande’s upcoming studio album Eternal Sunshine, set to hit the shelves on March 8.

It’s been 65 years since Brenda Lee released “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”, but its popularity isn’t fading away. This holiday classic finally hit No. 1 in the US, setting several Billboard Hot 100 records and making Lee the oldest person to top this chart.

“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” took the backseat to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the past four years and peaked at No. 2 during the holiday season, but it’s finally its time to shine! This holiday classic topped the Hot 100 chart this week, with 34.9 million streams, 20.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 3,000 downloads.

Lee originally recorded this song when she was just 13, and several popular covers emerged over the years. “Christmas Tree” has also been notably featured in the holiday comedy Home Alone, and Lee said that this was “the catalyst that pushed it over that hill.”

At the age of 78, Lee is the oldest person in history to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and she set several more milestones along the way. She also set a new record for the longest run to no. 1 (65 years), the longest span, and the longest break between number-one singles on the Hot 100 chart (63 years). She previously topped the chart with “I’m Sorry” and “I Want To Be Wanted” in 1960.

Jack Harlow is no stranger to topping the Billboard Hot 100, but the third time is the charm! The Grammy-nominated rapper scored his third chart-topping hit in the United States with his latest single “Lovin on Me”.

“Lovin On Me” hit the shelves on November 10 and debuted at no. 2, behind Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”. It topped the Hot 100 chart just a week later, with 23.6 million streams, 20.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 11,000 downloads sold.

Harlow celebrated the news on social media and posted several headlines announcing his Hot 100 success, captioned with the words “Warming up. More coming.” Since “Lovin on Me” wasn’t a part of his latest studio album Jackman, which came out this April, it’s safe to assume he’s currently plotting its follow-up.

“Lovin on Me” marks Harlow’s third single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, following the success of his “Industry Baby” collaboration with Lil Nas X and the solo single “First Class”. He joins Taylor Swift and Drake as the third artist to score at least one new Hot 100 No. 1 single in each of the last three years.

Before topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, “Lovin on Me” already did the same in several other countries and spent two weeks at No. 1 in the UK.

There are certain songs that we can’t help but hit repeat on again and again, and now that 2017 has come and gone, it’s time for us to take a look at which songs we hit repeat on the most!

The big players in the music industry tend to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 Songs for the most part, and the top three songs of the year are no different.

Bruno Mars, is at it again with “That’s What I Like.” He may have come in third, but that’s no small feat when you realize Adele, Harry Styles, and Miley Cyrus only barely broke into the top 100.

Love him or hate him, you can’t help but recognize Justin Bieber’s talent. He got the world moving with the hit song, “Despacito” that he featured in with Daddy Yankee & Luis Fonsi, two artists he completely stole the spotlight from. This hit came in at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

At #1, we have our favorite ginger Brit (that’s right Prince Harry, you heard us!): Ed Sheeran with “Shape Of You.”

Here’s betting that one of these three artists will grace the Top 3 again in 2018!
