Janet Jackson pulled in over a million viewers and came in forth place. It was the star’s first performance at the festival only she arrived six minutes late and fans accused her of miming.
The Cure pulled in 1.2 million viewers on BBC2 and also received
91.9% positive feedback from fan mentions on social media.
The Killers came in second, pulling in less than half as many viewers as Kylie. They also received 29,600 social media mentions and their new album has jumped from 55th to 8th in this week’s chart update.
The winner is without a doubt Kylie Minogue, who blew the competition out the water and pulled in 3 million viewers on BBC1 this weekend. She was joined with the biggest crowd and her sensational performance was broadcasted on BBC One. Hence the major viewing figures.

]]>Lizzo’s set at Glastonbury was no different. She stepped out into a dazzling, sparkling dress and gave the most motivational speech of 2019.
“I want you to know that I love you very much and I’m very proud of you!” she told her fans. “I want you to know that if you can love me, you can love your goddamn self.”
She then reached out to her fans to say a mantra with her, encouraging them to go home, look in the mirror and say: “I love you, you are beautiful and you can do anything!”
She then got her audience to say the mantra with her and then look at the person next to them and give them the same words of encouragement. Emotions were running high and even if you weren’t there, it’s hard not to be moved by Lizzo’s powerful words.
Following the touching exchange, Lizzo broke into her hit “Good as Hell” and gave a performance to remember.

]]>Recently, Cyrus made her comeback with a record which embraces both her pop obsession and country rock roots. A couple of months later, she made her debut appearance as Ashley O on Charlie Brooker’s dystopian sci-fi series Black Mirror. And since then, her Instagram has been more purple-wigged Ashley O than it has Miley.
At Glastonbury, however, the pop sensation stepped out in a pair of PVC trousers looking like a rock ‘n’ roll diva. She played her biggest pop hits only her voice was growlier and she sounded like a badass.
At one point in her set, Miley had a quick costume change and came out wearing a sparkly hoodie and her purple Ashley O wig. Taking on the role of her new alter ego, she sang “On A Roll” and “Head Like A Hole.”
Overall, Miley’s performance on the night was fantastic and embraced all the different sides of the pop star. It finally seems that Cyrus has found out a way to bring all her changing phases together in one and it makes for a killer live show.

]]>Minogue is scheduled to perform on Sunday, June 30 in the teatime slot, which is between 5 pm and 7 pm. She will join the likes of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Neil Diamond, who all played the legends slot in previous years.
“We are delighted to announce that Kylie is finally bringing her show to Glastonbury,” said Glastonbury organizers in a statement. “She’ll play the legendary Sunday afternoon slot at next year’s Festival. And we cannot wait.”
Glastonbury 2019 will be the first time Kylie Minogue will play at this iconic festival. The 50-year-old singer supposed to headline the festival 14 years ago but had to cancel her appearance due to treatment for breast cancer.
“I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’ on Sunday 30th June at @GlastoFest 2019.” – Minogue wrote on Twitter. “It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show.”

]]>Stormzy will perform at the festival’s famous Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 28th. He will be the first grime artist to headline the event and first rapper since 2015 and Kanye West to do so.
The announcement was first made via posters put on Oxfam shops in Glastonbury and Streatham, and the news was later confirmed on the festival’s official Twitter page.

Stormzy managed to establish himself as one of the most popular new British music acts in the past few years. He started his music career on UK’s underground scene and released several successful singles and mixtape before getting a chance to record his debut album.
He released Gang Signs & Prayer in February 2017 to critical acclaim, topping the UK Album Charts and winning the British Album of the Year award at the 2018 Brit Awards. Stormzy is currently working on his second studio album.
The other two headliners for Glastonbury 2019 will be probably confirmed early next year, with some high-profile names being rumored to be in the mix. Some of the artists that could take the Pyramid Stage on June 29th and 30th include Paul McCartney, Childish Gambino, Liam Gallagher, The Cure, and Fleetwood Mac.
