Keeravani picked up the trophy for writing the music, while Chandrabosedouble was awarded for his work on the lyrics.

“Naatu Naatu” defeated a pretty tough competition at this year’s Oscars, where the list of nominees also included Diane Warren’s “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman, Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and “This Is a Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once, by Ryan Lott, David Byrne, and Mitski.
